“I don’t really think there are other things more important than work for me,” she said shaking her head. “I know that opinions might differ when it comes to that subject, however, this is how I feel about it, and I, of course, have my reasons for it.”

“If I’m to be completely honest, I don’t really worry about that… I don’t always have a whole lot of time to see where things might go with me and a lady, so, I’m okay with just seeing how things go.”

“Hm. Are ya considering on hiring someone to decorate da place for ya or are ya planning on doing it all by yarself?”
“I’m planning on hiring a couple of people to do the decorating, don’t you worry.”
“I would highly suggest keeping that in mind, and being fully aware that it can become a little bit much at any possible time…”
“I’m still up for it, sweetheart.”
“It’s Miss Moore, but you can just call me Myra, really. Unless you might have other ideas, I’m also open to suggestions…”
“Myra, what a beautiful name. If I could call you anything else, I’d stick with beautiful because you are quite that.”
“A night club? That sounds exciting and draining. Do you enjoy your job? What do you mean you are spending Christmas alone? No one should ever be alone this time of the year. Please, you can’t tell me you don’t have any plans.”
“It can be quite draining at times, but I sure do love it. My job is great and I wouldn’t change it for the world. Sorry to disappoint, but I don’t have plans for Christmas. My family is back in New Orleans and there’s family drama so I’m staying here.”
“As much as I enjoy Christmas with the family– it is definitely good to be back. I think seeing my grandma twerk has officially been one of best and most embarrassing moments of my life.”
“If I ever saw my grandma twerking... I really don’t know what I’d do honestly.”
“That’s sad. What about your family? Why won’t you be spending it with them?”
“My family is back in New Orleans and some of them don’t exactly want to see me so I’ll be spending my time here.”
“It has it’s good and it’s bad side, like everything else, really. I’ll have to wait and see what kind of mood New Year’s Eve brings on though. However, the possibility of going to a bar does sound interesting.”
“Well, if you’d like to go to a bar, let me know because we can have all kinds of fun on New Years Eve. You might even get yourself a kiss from a girl by the end of the night.”
“Whenever I actually do take a break from work, I end up feeling more stressed and, well, miserable, so, I would say working just helps keep me sane. It might be a delicate balance.” she trailed off with a shrug.
“Well, keep in mind that even though work keeps you sane, you need to take a break for some important things other than work. Watch movies and sleep in on the weekends or go out to my new night club that will be opening soon.”
“Keep that thought in mind - you haven’t yet had the chance to meet my folks. And I have a feeling my sister would also likely be oh-so curious!”
“Oh-so curious people are who I like the most because I love answering questions about anything.”
“I wouldn’t mind it. Honestly, I’m not used to spending whatever important dates on my own, so, company would be something lovely!”
