Something I want to draw attention to in practicing any form of spirituality is to not let yourself become unhealthily obsessed with it. You don't have to look at everything as a sign from the divine or consult tarot for every single decision you make. It's important that you stay grounded and sometimes that means stepping out of a spiritual perspective, living life in the moment and following simply what your heart wants.

I wish epilepsy was taken more seriously because I literally see constant untagged and extreme strobe, especially on tiktok but even on YouTube. I have a filter but it does not work on tiktok, it only blocks regular videos. I’m still suffering from the seizure I had around 5 hours ago and my head feels likes it’s going to explode. Please, please, tag properly. I don’t wanna hear a single ‘but trigger warnings are bad!!!’, epilepsy is serious and seizures can kill.

I’m going to say this again because this isn’t and exaggeration and a lot of people don’t realize this. Seizures can kill you.

If you begin to have multiple seizures without fully coming back between them, this is called Status Epilepticus. Many people who enter Status have to be intubated or even temporarily put in a medically induced coma to stop them from having seizures.

Why is stopping the seizures so important beyond the fact that having seizures is a horrible life experience? Because prolonged seizures can cause brain damage, respiratory failure, increased risk of future or chronic status episodes, and heart damage.

And of course, every time you have a seizure, you are at risk of SUDEP, which stands for “Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy”. Risk of SUDEP increases in status due to increased and prolonged seizures and the additional strain on the body. You can go into a seizure and never wake back up. Not to mention SUDEP doesn’t always happen after a seizure and can happen while you are asleep, however active seizures increase risk.

Dandelions cannot thrive trapped under a concrete roof, so they twist and spread and sprout between the cracks.

Tree roots will find their way through foundations and bricks to feed the tree.

Brambles will climb up and over fences designed to keep them out, if what's beyond let's them grow.

A sunflower in a pot will face the sun, not the room it's owner so desperately wants it to decorate.
