Michelle was sure than just about everything was so much better than getting shot at multiple times – and her injuries from yesterday were nothing compared to everything she’s gone through. After seeing Dani’s surprised expression, the agent couldn’t help but allow a faint smirk appear on her lips for a brief second, “— already got it covered,” she assured. “Boss insisted on doing a check up, and I had no other choice than to listen to him.” The man was right – she couldn’t take the risk and live without knowing that she’s caught something terrible from all the other people she’d fought against. He kept repeating that it was better safe than be sorry later on, and Misha had to agree with that; if anything bad happened to her, and she wouldn’t be able to do her job, she’d be straight up miserable until the end of time… Which was… an understatement, really. “You can always watch?” Misha offered, “— or I could brief you in anything you need to know when entering the room – I just thought it would be a fun… bonding experience, I guess.”
She shrugged, again. “I don’t really have anyone close enough to me to be able to share that story with, so consider yourself safe,” Michelle spoke up quietly. In a way, being a lone wolf out in the big, big world was a good thing, but sometimes it was getting her into all sorts of mood swings and it was never good for anyone around. She swore that she was working on getting better at talking with people and not scaring them off the minute she opens her mouth, but it was hard. It was hard, because once you’ve been metaphorically locked out from the world, getting out felt like something impossible to do. When she was younger, she was terrified as to what people would think of her, but now? Now, she couldn’t care less about it. “I wouldn’t – in most cases, I would take it into consideration and then elect to ignore it,” she stated. “Other than that, I do give a damn about what you have to say.”
“at least your boss is clued in,” danielle mused. “i've worked under several who barely even notice this kind of thing. then again, no one i've worked under has had to deal with big burly men biting women, so i guess i can't speak much on the fact.” the mere idea of it, however, was mostly burned into danielle's thoughts. it was funny, but not funny enough to actually physically laugh. at least, not in front of the brunette, anyway. she figured that if a small chuckle had even escaped she would be facing more than the grumpiness of the other; it would be michelle's wrath. though, to be fair, she didn't think she had entirely avoided it, either. not when the other had just invited her to go to a shooting range. call it paranoia, but she couldn't help but picture herself or her camera being one of the targets. hopefully, by that time she would have managed to get back into the brunette's good books. “i guess i can, yeah,” she nodded. watching, however, meant taking pictures when it came to danielle. “you want to bond with me? does this mean we're actually becoming friends or should i continue fearing for my life?”
“see, that's what they all say. then the next thing i know it's plastered all over twitter and on billboards then i have to do interviews defending myself against the whole crying over a sports team thing. it'll be a mess.” of course, the photojournalist was joking, but it would be a lie if she said she hadn't thought that when she shared little details about herself with anyone that wasn't her best friend or brother. “i'll take your word for it, though. i think you're a trustworthy person, so this will prove whether or not my instincts are right or not.” danielle ran a hand through her hair and tucked the strands behind her ear, still watching the other as the thoughts of their current conversation jostled in both of their minds. it was deep - unintentionally so - but at least it allowed danielle to get a bit more insight into the normally closed off woman in front of her. “like i said, ignorance can be bliss. it's a saying for a reason,” she chuckled. “michelle o'donoghue actually cares about something? that's news.”
