Hey, y’all! I haven’t been on Tumblr in forever so the LOST fandom may be dead for all I know at this point, but if anyone’s still around, feel free to follow me! I’m on my third rewatch of the show currently and am always down to chat about it!

A bit about me: I’m Sera, 30, and an INFP. I watched LOST during its original run when I was young and it’s been amazing to go back (*Jack voice* WE HAVE TO GO BACK!! 😉) and revisit it as an adult. Some of my favorite characters are Daniel Faraday (obviously), the Science Team/Freighter Four as a whole, as well as Desmond, Hurley, Juliet, and Richard! I love the entire series, but my favorite season are Season 3 onward, especially the latter ones with time travel and the 70’s Dharma Initiative.

I’m guessing this will likely be a LOST centric blog, but other shows I like are The X Files, Twin Peaks, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul, so I can’t rule out that they’ll pop up here occasionally too. 😉

I just think Dharma shit is so interesting and I could rant for hourssssss about all the things I love about this wack ass hippie science commune doing their funky experiments

.....actually was it ever clarified how many Dharma kids got adopted/rescued or do we only know Ben and Ethan for sure. Was there like a slow roll of turning the children against the adults without explaining why or just some effort to herd a chunk of them into one place that could be secured against the gas? Who was left to rot with their parents?

......Glenn might have been saved Specifically because he was almost exactly Ethan's age so they could be raised as peers as soon as it was decided to nab Ethan himself. Which means that Glenn loses his adoptive brother pretty much immediately before meeting his bio brother, which would really salt the wound of the whole conflict.

It’s never clarified (at least not that I remember), and Ben and Ethan are the only Dharma kids we are made aware of who defect to the Others. Obviously are large amount of the children living in Dharma (Charlotte, Miles, etc) are evac’d off the Island prior to the Incident in 1977, but that doesn’t account for whether or not Ethan (who would’ve still been a baby, since he was born in July of 1977) was one of those children. I find it hard to believe that with the threat of the impending Incident, both of his parents (especially a higher ranking Dharma member like his father Horace Goodspeed) would just be cool with not evacuating their infant son.

Anyway I’m rambling but I love unresolved/unanswered shit like this because it makes amazing fanfic fodder. There’s so much to work with story wise when there aren’t defined, canon answers.

UPDATE: According to Lost Encyclopedia, it says that Ethan was evacuated with Amy, and then they returned to the Island together at a later time. Ethan became fascinated by the Hostiles and sought them out, and Widmore allowed him to be one of them as long as they gave them something in return: help with the Dharma Purge. As a result, his parents were both gassed, Ethan was spared, and began his life with the Others.)

I LOVE that the whole entire reason Miles came to the Island in the first place was to get 1.6 million dollars, then he tried to extort Ben for 3.2 million, only to finally leave the Island as the richest motherfucker on that Ajira plane cause he dug up 8 million dollars worth of diamonds that two randos from Season 3 got buried alive with 🤣😭
