For anyone seeing this who doesn't know about Dan Kazuo and how he ties in with BSD-ified authors, here's a tiny bit about him:
Dan Kazuo was close with IRL Dazai Osamu
He‚ Dazai‚ Nakahara Chūya‚ and a few other writers started a magazine together (it only lasted one issue)
Dan and Dazai nearly did a double suicide once
You may have heard about the drunken tirade where Nakahara compared Dazai to a mackerel. That account is courtesy of Dan. He took Dazai's side and Kusano Shinpei took Nakahara's side in the following brawl. He and Nakahara also allegedly went to a brothel together
Sakaguchi Ango and his wife Michiyo were staying at Dan's house when Sakaguchi made her order 100 dishes of curry rice
Dan's works include a posthumous biography of Dazai, novels, short stories (you can read the one where Don Quixote and Sancho Panza visit Japan on bsd-bibliophile), poetry, and cookbooks
