Dante’s paternal grandparents migrated over to the US from Ghana in hopes to live that American dream. They had a certain plan in mind for their one and only son, and he lived up to that. He was a neurosurgeon while Dante’s mother was an author who wrote romance novels.
Being raised in the suburbs of Horwick, Dante found himself desiring everything he’d seen and heard about from all forms of media. Living the high life was important to him. It wasn’t as though he needed for anything, living comfortably with his parents and all, but he wanted so much more for himself.
He was into football since he was a child, often practicing with his uncle on his mother’s side and beating himself up whenever he’d received any critique on his form, playstyle, or anything in between. He knew he needed to grow up and be the next best thing when it came to the NFL.
He’d become best friends with Chase naturally, the two of them having similar interests and personalities. He didn’t know it, but this would’ve been a lifelong bond. Someone who wasn’t simply a friend, but a brother to him. Wherever someone saw Chase, Dante was right beside him and vice versa.
He had always been known as the boy who loved to smile, crack jokes and raise everyone’s spirits. When he saw a classmate who seemed down and out, he would go over and start talking about the positive things all around them. He would even offer them some food if he had any left over. This was how he built most of his bonds up until his teens.
As a teenager, he knew what that killer smile would do, he knew just how far he could get with it and he was enjoying the newfound attention from the ladies. Having different girls at the house was something that upset his parents, but he was far too deep into his own high of the attention to care.
He’d finally gotten that dream. The dream of going big seemed tangible. He’d gotten a full-ride football scholarship to Vanderbilt University. College was the time he’d really dove into partying, random hookups.
He fell for Heather when he was 20, gave her the world and much more. From taking her on vacations to buying her gifts, he always wanted their relationship to work on. But his brain got clouded a few years later when he was finally drafted into the NFL. All of the attention, the fame, the money got to his head and in 2020, he stopped responding to her calls. He stopped dropping by to visit her in Hidehill and he’d moved on to dating a model that lived in Los Angeles but would come visit him in Nashville.
He’d heard about everything happening back at home and he didn’t life far away in the first place, so he went and purchased his first mansion in Harlow, settled into his new life and decided he was going to try and make everything he’d done wrong in the past right.
