I don’t want my life to turn into a perpetual loop of picking myself up, healing, and starting over—moving from one hurt to the next, from one loss, one disappointment, one person to another. I don’t want my existence to revolve around recovery alone, as if mending what’s broken is all I’m meant to do. I want to be more than the aftermath of things that happened to me; I want a life that isn’t defined solely by surviving and repairing, but by living, growing, and becoming.
