I just had a dream about a PSA against adults relying on children for emotional support. First a little girl, no older than ten, typed on her phone, put it aside for just one moment, and when she returned, the message said “I’m going to kms”

Important PSA but then the scene cut to the child crying while shaking abnormally like she’s sitting on a working washing machine and her face distorting. Then the adult she talked to (an old man) appeared next to her and did the same.

It was fucking disturbing and it took me too long to get out of that dream

Why is it so weird today *checks calendar* oh shit it’s Wednesday

My mom’s birthday is tomorrow and I’m struggling with coming up with a gift for her other than cooking dinner. Mother’s Day is three days after that.

I go to the mall and enter a drugstore to find a perfume for her. I stay there for longer than comfortable because I want to find the one that’s just right. Then, this strong stench of PISS. For a moment I thought it was the perfume that had a rather… ahem… unique scent, but it was instead an elderly person next to me. And instead of spraying the perfumes on those stripes for testing, they spray those on themselves like they’d paid with all of their this month’s retirement money already.

I then go to a grocery store to maybe get inspiration for what to cook for my mom. As I’m left uninspired, I look for ice cream instead, since I’ve been dealing with an aching wisdom tooth and wanted to soothe my pain. Standing in front of the refrigerated goods, I try to make the difficult choice, until a presumably drunk man slams himself onto the fucking fridge door. Despite him saying “excuse me please,” having good manners even in his intoxicated state, I instinctively nope out of it and leave the store.

Well that was adventurous, I think to myself and decide to get myself bubble tea from my favorite shop. Since I’ve learned that hesitation leads to something weird to happen today, I simply order the new Yakutia drink with Pomelo and Grapefruit as I like both fruits. If you told me it was discharge I would’ve believed you.

Clinging onto my final hope that today would be normal, I went to the ice cream stand to order my one of my favorite ice creams. Due to the place being loud asf, the guy mistakes me for a Ukrainian and starts speaking in Ukrainian to me. I keep answering in German, he gets confused, I get confused…

Anyway how was today for y’all

Nobody ever talks about the struggles of having a parent who has no interests.

My parents are both very bland elder millennials who have no other interests than alcohol and their home country. (Yes they lived in the Soviet Union, how’d you know?)

My mom’s birthday is in three days, and while I should’ve taken care of getting a gift for her, I cannot think of anything.

You like… uh… math… cuz u teacher…

And that is the main reason why I’m afraid of sharing my own interests with my parents, because I feel like a total nerd in comparison to them. They’re so… indifferent about everything? Like where is your joy?

This is literally so cute I wanna scream.

My favorite teacher is this oddly spiritual older theatre teacher who does coaching. She suggested me to do her coaching program bc she noticed that I’m ‘tense’, and I agreed, and so she sent me links to her website where she explains her methods.

That website, unexpectedly, includes what she calls magazines, but I would call them blogs. She gives out tips on how to live a better life mentally or physically, stuff like positive self talk, how to include wild greens in your food and small rituals to overall happiness.

I feel like a creep for reading through all of these but gosh, alone reading the monthly blogs is healing something in me. She’s so weird I adore her.
