Can u maybe do a blurb of dealer/stoner ellie? maybe her teaching reader to smoke and then they both get akward and some kisses maybe happend?
Idk u write very well so i know whatever u do will be amazing
tysm for the compliment! idk how this got SO LONG, it was too much fun to write! here is my sweet angel who can do no wrong, roommate!dealer!ellie ₊˚⊹ ᢉ𐭩
you were miserable when you walked into your dorm on your third year of college
you made sure to get there early so you got first choice on which bed you wanted. to your horror, your new roommate was already unpacking on the good bed with the window
her decor was less than pleasant, she dressed like a 15 year old boy, and she reeked of pot. great
you liked the name, despite yourself. loved it even
you never told her that name was on that secret note on your phone of future baby names
as you got to know ellie, you erased that name from your secret list
she constantly had strangers stopping at your dorm to sell them weed, which annoyed you to no end
“can’t you just go to their place?” you snapped one day when her sale distracted you from your flow of studying
“i don’t even have to leave my dorm to get paid, you expect me to go work for it when i don’t have to?” she replied, secretly loving the attention she got from you, even when you were annoyed at her
you had no rude reply, just a deep sigh, anticipating a long year
you felt your blood start to boil on a night out with your friends
you met them all out at the bar, greeting them with hugs
laughter breaks out as you’re greeting them all “girl, you reek!”
you freeze “what? i literally just showered—“
“no— not that. weed. your dealer roommate is rubbing off on you, huh?” your friends continue to giggle, not realizing that you still don’t smoke, still never have
her scent is just so strong and vile, it’s imbedded into your clean clothes now, and you’re starting to become nose blind to it
the thought terrifies you, how many times have i gone out smelling like weed and didn’t notice?
you burst through the door of your dorm late that night, drunk… and angry, not your proudest moment
“we need to talk” you slur, pointing a finger at your roommate whose already in bed, video game controller in her hand
ellie sits up and grins, you already want to roll your eyes “yes, princess?” she teases, actually pausing her game for you
you stand at the edge of the bed, your angry pointed finger finds its way to her chest “you. i went out tonight and my friends laughed at me because i smelled like you!”
ellie just laughs, which pisses you off even more “oh, c’mon. i smell great, it’s prada, very expensive by the way”
unfortunately, the faint, lingering smell of her cologne every morning was totally dreamy
“you’re not funny” you whine “I’m serious. I’ve been way too kind and way too patient with you, if you light another joint in this room I’m reporting you”
“you’re gonna tell on me?” she fake pouts
you sit, more of a drunken stumble, on the edge of her bed “forget it”
ellie drops her infuriating grin, a little flustered by how close you are, and the fact that you’re on her bed for the first time ever
“hey. listen, i’m sorry. i mean it” she says, in a warm tone of voice you’ve never heard before
“i don’t want sorry, i want you to fix it” you whine
ellie can’t help herself as she brushes your hair out of your face and places it gently behind your ear
your face heats up, she notices, she tells herself it’s the alcohol
“i won’t smoke in here. i shouldn’t have been doing it anyways, you’re right” she says, you’re shocked by how easygoing she’s being
“good” you say, getting up from her bed and walking to your dresser to get your pajamas
you never realize since you always have your back turned, but ellie always watches when you change
she’s started to memorize all your bra and underwear combinations, secretly having her favorites
she adores you, and you have no clue
“drink some water before bed, you’re wasted” ellie reminds you
after a month of no drama, you walk into your dorm after class to ellie smoking out the window again
she grins “i kinda like when you yell at me”
“you’re a freak” you joke, smiling “put that out, now”
ellie groans “c’mon, i’m going to dina’s apartment for friendsgiving and i want to be as hungry as possible”
you immediately forget about the joint, just feeling a wave of loneliness
“she lives off campus? like, her own apartment?” you ask, jealous that she has the space to actually cook and host her friends
“yeah— it’s so cool— she— wait! do you want to come?”
you hesitate “i couldn’t just like… intrude”
“trust me! they’ll like you a lot, dina is so cool, and smart and pretty and stuff” ellie rambles, stoned and happy
“you in love with her or something?” you joke, a strange hint of jealously in your tone
ellie laughs, “i was before we became friends, she’s dating jesse, he’s pretty awesome too, he— fuck, I’m rambling, i would love if you came with me tonight”
“can we stop at the liquor store on the way? I don’t want to show up empty handed”
the night passes in a blur of amazing food, friendship, good music and wine
ellie was right about her friends, they were lovely, and great cooks
you walked back to the dorms together, the november air was biting at you, but you had enough wine in your system to not care
“thank you for inviting me, really”
“anytime” she says, trying to play it cool
“i really like your friends”
“they really like you too, i can tell” ellie’s cheeks are red at this point, partially from the cold, partially from your presence tonight
“i feel like i’ve been such an ass to you, and you didn’t deserve it” you confess
“eh, you’re just stuck up, but you pull it off because you’re so pretty” she jokes
“do you really need me to tell you that? you definitely already know”
“i just didn’t think you thought that”
“i don’t know if you’ve realized this after living with me for three months but… i’m not fucking blind”
you can’t wipe the stupid smile off your face
you slam your laptop shut in a fit of frustration
it catches ellie’s attention immediately, enough for her to put her book down
“you gonna explain or do i have to ask?” she says, nonchalantly
you groan “do you wanna go get shitfaced?”
ellie laughs, “well yeah, but can we talk about why you’re angry first?”
you get up from your bed, pacing angry circles around the room “how the fuck am i supposed to focus during these three weeks between holidays? twelve paged essay! twelve! due at midnight! you’ve gotta be fucking kidding me!”
ellie cracks a smile “how about a walk and some fresh air instead of getting wasted?”
you throw your arms up in frustration “i don’t want to go for a walk! i want to go home! and hug my mom! and watch a christmas movie! I’m tired and I’m frustrated and every semester i feel more and more stupid and—“ your voice cracks, tears flood your eyes
ellie drops her grin immediately “chill, c’mere” she says, opening her arms to you from her bed
normally you’d hesitate, but it’s been too long since you’ve had a real hug
you lie on top of her in her bed like it’s natural, her arms wrap around you comfortingly as you dig your face into the crook of her neck
that stupid prada cologne lingers on her bare skin, it makes your stomach feel funny
this is entirely foreign to both of you, but fuck, it feels good
“shhhh, i got you… breathe” she whispers in your ear as her hands start to rub your back
you count the seconds of each breath in your head as you try to relax, ellie can feel your body soften in her arms
“that’s it, good girl” she praises softly
that funny feeling in your stomach turns to pure heat, you try desperately to ignore it
“I’ll write your essay for you if you smoke a joint with me” she offers smugly
“seriously?” you mumble into her neck, the heat of it makes her shiver
you’ve known for months that she was unusually smart, but you never wanted to take advantage of that
you climb off of her, you’re both secretly disappointed at the loss of contact
“do we have to go shiver on a park bench outside or can we smoke in here?” she teases
“just open the window” you say, defeated
she does as she’s told, the air is crisp and cold and somehow really refreshing. you pull one of her blankets over your lap
you watch closely as she lights the joint, you can’t take your eyes off the way her lips wrap around it, or the way her hands grip the lighter
you’ve been far too curious lately about ellie’s lips, ellie’s hands, ellie’s body—
she blows out a cloud of smoke effortlessly “here” she says, passing it to you
“i don’t know how” you admit
“god, you’re such a princess” she teases “just be gentle with it. breathe in just a little, bring it deep into your chest, hold it for a second and breathe out. don’t try and do too much” she says, leaning back on her pillows to watch
you’re suddenly nervous, and feeling horribly awkward
you do exactly as instructed, feeling a burn as you inhale, you cough a bit as you exhale
“very good” she praises “now do that again”
you hate the way your stomach feels when she speaks like that, it’s making your imagination run wild
you pass the joint back and forth ‘til it burns out
you do feel way more relaxed now, but you had no idea that being stoned would make it horribly difficult to look at her
the curve of her perfect little button nose, those green eyes that always look like they’re hiding something, her soft porcelain skin—
“what are you looking at?” she asks, grinning
“nothing” you almost choke on the word
“I look at you sometimes too”
shit. shit shit shit shit shit
ellie leans forward to close the window “you cold?”
“you’re changing the subject”
“well, the subject is making me nervous” she blushes
you smirk “i didn’t know you even got nervous, you’re so fearless”
“and you’re so cold” she says, reaching out to you again, her hands slide over your goosebump covered arms “come lie down with me” she says, lifting the blanket she’s under
“can i tell you a secret?” you ask as you get comfortable beside her
“mhm” she hums, her hands finding their home on your skin again as she faces you in bed
“remember when i said i hated your spider-man blanket?” you say, trying not to laugh, but the weed is making it really hard to keep a straight face
“i remember it everyday, and it crushes my soul every time” she frowns dramatically at you
“i actually think it’s really cute” you admit
ellie giggles, full on schoolgirl-in-love giggle “fuck yes” she says triumphantly
“i think you’re really cute” you say, the confession slips out way too easy
ellie has to remind herself to speak confidently when she finally confesses “can i kiss you or are we gonna keep cuddling in my bed pretending this is normal?”
you nod, almost too quickly
you expect her to just crash her lips onto yours, but she doesn’t, she leans in painfully slow, starting with a slow kiss to your forehead
then finally, her lips press against yours so gently
you inhale sharply at the contact, grabbing onto her shirt, trying to remind yourself that this is real and it’s happening
ellie’s hand slides over your waist, pulling you flush against her, she’s so damn warm
you deepen the kiss, wanting more of her, the taste is addictive
“what’s so funny?” you ask, breathlessly
“the fact that i finally have you in my bed, and now have a 12 page essay to write before midnight”
“you better get to work then” you tease
