Some time ago, I heard that if Raul Julia was still alive, he would have made a great Dr. Doom in movie form. So, I went out to make this homage to the cover of the 12th Issue from Marvel's Secret Wars (the good one back in the 1980s) by comic book artist Miek Zeck that features Dr. Doom standing triumphantly over the heroes with his newfound Godhood from the Beyonder. Here, M. Between 11 years worth a saga starring @robertdowneyjr and a minimalistic film that stepped where @marvelstudios is too cowardly to tread and showed the haunting portrayal of Joaquin Phoenix that would make him equal to the late Heath Ledger, it's hard to pick which of the lead actors are worthy to win the Oscars. If it's RDJ, good for him because of the decade of buildup and fond memories; if it's Joaquin Phoenix, he definitely lives up to his surname because as "Arthur Fleck" he died rose from the ashes as "Joker". A sleeker redesign of Gloom Weaver. If Gloom Weaver were to be in the mainstream Marvel Universe, would he be deemed the villain in the attempts to wake Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson up to realize the Deal with the Devil that has castrated or killed them (TBH, they're most likely dead)? And to anyone who thinks Spider-Man: One More Day is a good story, they need to rethink their lives and...I'm sorry but I might be lost in a train of thought that brims with bitterness, resebtment, and anger that could be justified when it comes to stupidity written in the Spider-Man comics. There was a time Carlie Cooper got turned into a Goblin; and it was not impressive. So me and @runionandrew came up with Carlie Cooper as "The Diarrhea". Why diarrhea? Diarrhea is a result after consuming contaminated food; in this case, this diarrhea is the result of Joe the Quesadilla, architect of Peter Parker's death since late 2007 via Spider-Man: One More Day. The first five slides depict the parody cover panel that is Amazing Fantasy No.15, with Gloom Weaver punching an adverdary known as "The Quesadilla". The title of the cover is "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse No. 31" considering that the movie was released around December; while the character Gloom Weaver (my spidersona) actually debuted around New Years Eve. And just so anyone who saw this post knows, the fifth and sixth slides depicting an anthropomorphic quesadilla is actually Joe Quesada, current Chief Creative Officer of Marvel who's notorious in the Spider-Man mythos for castrating Peter Parker and his wife Mary Jane through a deal with Satan and replacing MJ Parker with Carlie Cooper (who will be added among Gloom Weaver's rogues gallery as "The Diarrhea") in the infamous story, "Spider-Man: One More Day". In a way, Gloom Weaver punching the Quesadilla is basically me delivering a punch of justice on Joe Quesada. On the seventh slide, there's Man-Sloth who is basically...a humanoid sloth inspired by Dan Slott, a writer with good ideas with terrible executions (Spider-Verse) and just downright terrible ideas (Doc Ock as "Superior Spider-Man", Back Cat character assassination tgat eventually got resolved in Nick Spencer's run, and Silk).
