So a friend of mine traveled across the country, only to get kicked out by a piece of shit ex, and wind up homeless during one of the worst winters in recent memories. She can’t get a job out there. She is running out of local support. She is running out of money. And I won’t sugar coat it, being a trans woman, and being homeless during winter is a death sentence. We’re doing everything we can to keep her afloat, but we’re all poor, and being poor is fucking hard.

Anything helps - even $5 can be food for a day. If you can’t help, sharing is just as helpful. Just please. I can’t lose her.

Funds will go to food, meds, and short term housing to keep her safe until we can get something more permanent set up.

seeing knockoff Maxells in AW2 made me immediately decide I needed to make something Alan Wake related.

This mixtape is a little collab between me and @dinobot . Graphic design is mine. Side A is a 45 minute Alan playlist by him, and side B is a 45 minute Scratch playlist by me, to let our different music tastes shine, and really drive in the disconnect. Same person, two angles!

Halloween got me back in the mood to revisit my two favorite pieces of experimental horror: House of Leaves, by Mark z Danielewski, and Anatomy, by KittyHorrorShow. This tape is a sort of conceptual mash up of them, as two different takes on the way a house influences relationships, distance between people, and erosion/over-enforcement of privacy. Being made unsafe in a home is a staple of horror, and conceptualizing a house as the enactor and/or victim of the breeches in social contract is fucking awesome. They are very much in conversation, and I love them dearly.

This was my first time going all out on a tape’s external design like this. I intend to reprint the J-card (on a better printer, since these were just done at Staples lol), but that aside, I’m very proud of how it came out.
