Hey, do you think the cat’s gonna be okay?
I'm back specifically to reblog this post
So.... Kate's episode of This is Us was the one I worked background and I am VERY visible in one shot.
I have now been in the same episode of TV as Milo. I'm gonna go die now
Um this woman is living the dream
My mom’s way of trying to communicate to me that she’s watching the art of racing in the rain
But we must look a little closer. And when we do, we see that the donut hole has a hole in its center. It is not a donut hole, but a smaller donut with its own hole, and our donut is not holed at all! KNIVES OUT (2019) dir. Rian Johnson
I’m tired and I want to snuggle and sleep but I also want to have sex for like three hours
it’s still wild to me how much streaming has changed how we watch TV?like I grew up entirely post-VHS and when I was a kid missing an episode of a TV show you were invested in was A Big Deal.
i remember I missed an episode of doctor who once (I think it was the satan pit?) and me and my sister did a kind of amnesty round all our friends to try and find someone who’d taped it bcos otherwise we’d have had to wait months to watch it. once made an ass of myself at a friend’s house bcos I was so stressed at the prospect of missing Heroes and not knowing what was going on next week.
owning an entire TV show on vhs took up a massive amount of space (and must have been expensive? I don’t think individual tapes were expensive but you could only get about 3 episodes at a time on a vhs and for a TV show w a lot of seasons that shit must have built up), I don’t recall buying any physical copies of TV shows until DVD was a thing (we had a handful of episodes of buffy on vhs + the BBC narnia series but that wasn’t a long one)
when my sister started watching buffy she came in around s4-5 and had to try and figure what was going on & what had come before through like, context clues, and as I understand it that was the normal way to start watching an ongoing TV show
TV is just. an entirely different experience than it was when I was a kid. bordering on a different medium tbh.

“For The Plot,” I whisper, deleting a rad detail that no longer works as tears fall from my eyes
Don’t delete it!
Take the detail and put it in a cut scene file. Less anguish + can be used again if needed later. Recycling!
Brought to you by: I never used to be merciless enough as an editor because losing bits made me sad. Now that I know I can bring them back for a sequel or even post cut scenes separately, I am so much more vicious, and my writing is better for it.
Instead of killing your darlings, I’ve called it cryogenically freezing your darlings
Relationship goals!
2 years later and I still cant get over that little kiss between Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield when Ryan Gosling won the Golden Globe award over Deadpool
Then later on The Stephen Colbert Show; Stephen asked Andrew if he was comfortable kissing men
And Andrew just
sorta went
Then Stephen
kinda just
