Remember how we thought Sardonyx likes to preform because of Pearl? Apparently Sunstone also likes to preform (as featured when they broke the fourth wall). This means, through deduction, GARNET IS THE ONE WHO LIKES TO PREFORM! GARNET IS THE ONE WHO LIKES TO GO ALL OUT AND PREFORM AND BREAK THE FOURTH WALL.

And suuuure, Pearl helps make Sardonyx extraly extra, but GARNET LIKES TO PREFORM TOO!

i love how the separation of steven’s gem is visually framed

it’s not something his human half is cloaking. his human half isn’t the real him, and neither is the gem. he’s both.

his human half can only start to move when he’s with the gem steven, and gem steven only smiles when he’s with human steven. you take the gem out of steven, and he can’t move. you take the steven out of the gem, and he can’t feel.

the idea that the two halves of him dancing are as much a fusion dance as with two gems, that self-love and acceptance is just as integral as love between people in a relationship— it’s shown so beautifully, and it’s so important, and i love this show.
