This Russian "trainee to casualty" timeline is actually significantly WORSE than The Great War of 1914 - 1918. I had three Great Uncles who served in World War 1: Uncle James was seriously wounded after 12 days on the Gallipoli peninsula (1915); Uncle Jim was seriously wounded after 5 weeks at Ploogsteert (1917); Uncle Norris was KIA after 6 weeks at Bullecourt (1917). This dramatically increasing casualty rate for Russia may be why Putin is demanding that Belarus join his forces in invading Ukraine.
