âExcuse me!â Jogging up to the stranger walking through the campus quad, Rosa was about to start talking but found herself merely staring. Sheâd always had a bit of a fascination with the extraordinary, so instead of properly greeting herself, she found herself blurting, âYouâre, like, the tallest man Iâve ever met, I think. Thatâs pretty cool,â she said, original reason why she was stopping the other already completely forgotten about, âPeople say Iâm tall for a girl but youâre, like⊠tall for a human. How tall are you?â @dawsonsfallâ
He didnât stop at first, not until it was undeniable that he was the one being addressed, his one-track mind hyperfocused on the presentation he had to give in exactly 45 minutes. The interaction started out unusual and went south from there - August shifting uncomfortably under her relentless gaze, hyperaware of how her eyes seemed to burn away at his skin. He was used to people commenting on his height, but they were normally more...subtle about their fascination. It was a lot for 8:15 in the morning.Â
âIâm 6âČ5âł,â he replied simply, taking a sip of his coffee. âAnd it gets a lot less cool after the fifth time you hit you head on a doorframe or a low hanging branch.âÂ
