just because a woman is attracted to a fictional villain doesn’t mean she’s promoting toxic relationships or going to end up in a toxic relationship. assuming women can’t tell fiction and reality apart stinks of internalized misogyny
some rando’s a/b/o fanfics have none of the level of influence that popular tv shows and movies spreading propaganda have
no one owes you a detailed description of their traumas and mental health problems

While I am personally a Sesskag (as in Sesshomaru and Kagome. Not Kagura, although I have nothing against that ship) shipper, and enjoy the Sesshomaru As Parental with Rin in fanfic, I really dont understand all the kerfluffel about Sessrin being canon. What did yall THINK was going to happen? Rin is literally the only option in the entire canon. The only two other female characters he had any kind of positive interaction with were Kagura and Sara who are both quite dead.
Also, again as much as I enjoy the dynamic in fic, Sesshomaru did NOT raise Rin. The IY canon, from Kagome falling in the well to defeating Naraku takes place over one single year. I know it doesnt FEEL like that given how long the series ran, but that is the canon. Meaning Rin traveled with Sesshomaru for less than one year before he left her in Kaedes village. Sure it's clear he visited her once and a while, but if anyone actually raised Rin it was Kaede (likely with Sango and Kagomes help)
And what we know about the Yashahime timeline from the prerelease stuff, is that it's been 20 yrs since Kagome returned to the feudal era after a three year time skip. Moroha and the twins are 14. Meaning there would have been 6 years between Kagome coming back and all three girls being born.
By that time, Rin would have been at least 18.
I'm not saying anyone has to like it, I personally dont plan on really watching Yashahime because the plot seems kinda stupid, but everyone running around saying it ruined Sesshomaru and using really serious words like "grooming" and "pedophile" about a fictional several centuries old dog demon who might I mention again is NOT a real person (nor is Rin) seriously needs to step back and reassess their priorities.
Do not. Use serious words like that. About fiction. It is made up. Lines on a screen cant be groomed. Yall need to rediscover the word Squicked. Go ahead and be uncomfortable with it, dislike it, but do not use serious real world words against fucking anime characters.
And I shouldnt even need to say dont fucking harass SessRin shippers. Leave them alone and learn to mute, blacklist and block.
Also, I dont check the Sesskag tag to hear yall bitching about other ships. I came to look for Sesskag content. It's hard enough to do that on Twitter with bitchy SessRin and SessKagu shippers constantly cross tagging their petty beef. (Largely because they confuse the SessKag tag on Twitter for being Sesshomaru Kagura rather than Sesshomaru Kagome)

Let Me Introduce You To Someone Named Mara Jade.
Ok if they can bring Thrawn back, they BETTER write Mara Jade back in! Ok, dead horse, A Sith that became a smuggler that became a Jedi [if she’d become a princess, she’d have gone the full circle] that in a strange twist of events married Luke Skywalker whom had once been her enemy.
Mara was a proud woman who proved incredibly loyal, showing deep commitment to whatever cause she happens to belong to wherever that be her initial service to the Emperor or her loyalty to Talon Karrde [Another character that needs to be made canon again] or her eventual commitment to the Jedi and her family. She was calm, collected, tough, warm, compassionate with a merciful side that existed even when she served the Empire.
Next Time: A woman whose story focuses on running a chocolate shop, a noble cause if ever there was one .
