i will never forgive marvel for how they treat and depict female roles within the franchise. why does every man get three times the screen time and personal development? it took natasha literally dying for her counterparts and ‘friends’ to even question if she had a family outside of them? there was so much potential for nat, maria, gamora, and instead of fleshing out these characters that undeniably carried the franchise, we were fed sequel after sequel for steve, tony, even clint! we saw more of his family and his personal arc then we ever saw for nat. these women save their asses time after time, and they’re thrown to the back burner at any and every chance. if we do get the rare opportunity to see them through, there is almost always a leading male in the film, and the writing is half-assed at best. the wandavision to multiverse jump is wild, but hey, i guess i can’t complain too much about how we practically threw away wanda’s entire character development arc because at least she has more then seven lines.
