“Yeah, just take it into the bedroom. Take the stairs, second door on your left.” Amelia instructed to the moving guy in between holding the conversation with her dad on the phone. She hated that her parents were divorcing but with her mum moving, she used it to the best of her advantage. Despite being 21, she figured that she’d stay with her mum for a while to get some money together before moving into the city & she figured that her mum could do with some moral support at that moment.
“I’ll talk to you later, Dad. These boxes aren’t going to move themselves.” Amelia spoke before hanging up. The blonde sighed as she picked up a heavy box, losing her balance as she took a step back, falling into a stranger’s arms. “I’m so sorry!” The blonde apologised quickly, turning around to look at the other with pink cheeks. “T–Thanks for saving me there.”
Jonathan had been living in the area for quite sometime, he was friendly with all the neighbors and frequently visited them throughout the week. So he was stunned to hear that the Wilson’s were moving out of their home to another state, and Jonathan knew he was going to have to befriend his new neighbor so it wouldn’t be awkward. He didn’t want to have a neighbor he didn’t like after all.
By the time he made his way over to the house next door boxes were already beginning to be unloaded and movers were rushing in and out of the house. He saw a petite blonde on the phone and figured she must the new owner, seeing as she wasn’t wearing the moving company’s uniform. Once she hung up the phone he was about to speak but saw that she was about to fall and caught her in his arms, a smile spreading across his face. “You better be careful, wouldn’t want you to get hurt the first day you move to your new house.” He said laughing as he extended his hand. “I’m Jonathan.”
