carlas_turn: Carlaās Turn was created in honor of Carla Ferrigno ā a woman whose strength, warmth, humor and love left a permanent mark on everyone lucky enough to know her. Her story did not begin with Alzheimerās, and we refuse to let it end there either.
Carla was a mother, a fighter, a source of comfort, and the heart of her family. Even through the cruel progression of Alzheimerās disease, she continued to teach those around her about resilience, grace, and unconditional love. Her journey revealed both the beauty and the heartbreak that so many families silently carry while caring for someone they love.
Championing this mission are her children, @louferrignojr & @shannaferrigno who are turning their grief into purpose by honoring their motherās legacy through advocacy, awareness, and action.
Carlaās Turn is built on a simple promise: we will not let her journey disappear into silence. What began as grief has become a movement ā one dedicated to raising awareness, supporting families in the trenches of caregiving, and funding research so future generations do not have to endure this devastating ālong goodbye.ā
This foundation exists because Carla mattered. Her life mattered. Her story matters. And through this mission, her legacy will continue to create hope, connection, and change for families facing Alzheimerās today and for those who will face it tomorrow.
Alzheimerās may have the moment, but we have the mission.
