Soo one of my employees had suggested this as a place to ‘journal’ or ‘advertise’. Seeing as I have another account already ( @beau-has-no-regards ), I figured this would be a good stepping stone.

I’m Beau, They/he. Proud owner of Dead Tired Cafe located on East Second down by the Daily Planet! We are open from 5pm to 7am, with the basement floor open to college students and people of all kind to study in a calm, relaxing area!

Our weekly specials will be updated Monday at 5:30 pm!

Adam dragged himself into the shop, his eyes narrowing as he adjusted to the lights. He was still hobbling a little, trying to get his bearings as best as he could. Sure, he probably would've preferred some alcohol to waken his senses, but coffee would have to do. Did he even have cash on him? Who knows, he'd figure something out.

The doors are unlocked, but the lights aren't on. There's a singular calico cat— a japanese bobtail— who curiously looks up from her place on the counter. 'Mrrp?'

Adam glanced over to where the cat was resting, awkwardly tilting his head like a confused dog. He'd expected to be greeted by a person, not a cat. He cautiously approached the counter, his boots clicking against the floor.

"Hey, there.." Adam murmured gently, offering a hand to the pet.

The cat gently sniffs his hand (dirty, no doubt), then gives a soft chirrup of approval before nuzzling into his palm for scritches. 'Mrr!'

Her bell jingles as she starts purring contentedly, not even giving a damn that this is a stranger she's just straight up letting into the cafe.

"Oh, friendly, aren't ya?" Adam chuckled, his fingers curling to give gentle scritches to the cat. He leaned up against the counter, one arm resting atop it while the other continued to pet her.

He can hear shuffling from the back of the cafe, along with a thump. Afterwards, there's soft— well, not so soft, actually quite loud— swearing. "God damn motherfucking bullshit-"
