Transgender people kill themselves because they can't stand living with their sex. The suicide rates are the same no matter how accepted somebody is. The biggest factor in preventing suicide is allowing the person to transition, not whether or not strangers online call them the proper pronouns.

So, I definitely agree that being trans isn’t something to glorify or make into a cool, quirky political statement.

That said, what do you mean by ‘fake genders’? Cause if you’re talking about that terrible, terrible ‘my gender is attack helicopter’ kind of thing, I understand where you’re coming from, but I really hope you aren’t talking about nonbinary people here.

And… what does otherkin have to do with gender? It’s a belief that someone is non-human in some way, either psychologically or spiritually. The fact that you brought this into a post about gender just does not add up.

A talking point many transphobes use is that "if we let transgenderism be accepted, kids will start thinking they can be animals." Otherkin just makes leftists look stupid in that regard.

And yes, nonbinary. Nonbinary genders have no basis in science. We've been studying the brain for decades, yet there has yet to be evidence indicating the existence of a third gender. And no, intersex doesn't count because it's a birth deformity, not a gender.

It's debilitating to individuals who suffer from it. It's treated with medical intervention. All scientific evidence is indicating that it's an incurable (for now) neurological disorder that occurs during pregnancy, when a fetus is exposed to high levels of the opposite sex hormone. This causes the brain to develop abnormally and become hard-wired for the opposite sex, which is what causes dysphoria: male brain + female body = gender dysphoria, or vice versa for transgender women.

I’ve been studying neuroscience so I can inform the snowflakes are wrong. Gender is just the name given to the different roles and behaviours displayed by the sexes. These behaviours happen due to hormonal releases. E.g. oestrogen increases a female’s willingness to approach a male to induce solicitatious behaviours
