Wayward Devotion part one: reunion
Summary: What do you do when youâre attacked by aliens and a Clark Kent wanna-be swoops in to the save the day only to find out youâre married to him but have no recollection of it? Youâre not quite sure, but youâre eager to find out.

âWhat the fuck?â You say bluntly.Â
You canât help but swear when thereâs a random guy flying above you with laser beams shooting out of his eyes.Â
âGet out of the way!â A girl from behind tries to turn you around from the fighting above you, but youâre trying to figure out what that creature is and who the guy wrestling with it is too.Â
One moment you were grabbing the coffee order Rhodey had placed for you and the rest of the Avengers to celebrate Friday, the next you were knocked over by what you assume is an alien.Â
At least you donât think youâve seen something like that on Earth.Â
The girl finally breaks you out of your stupor and has you face her. Itâs a teenage girl. No older than 14 youâd suspect.Â
She freezes up when she looks at your face though and says, âY/N?â
Youâre not surprised she knows who you are given your position and you go to shake her hand, but she doesnât respond. You donât blame her, that might be weird given the circumstances. Do kids still shake hands these days?
âGet the civilians out of here!â The man above you screams as he literally tackles this alien to the ground whilst his eyes seem to burn its skin. Does it even have skin?
âIâm not a civilian!â You shout back as you grab the shoulders of the girl that tried to get your attention.
âAre you okay?â You ask her, but sheâs still in shock at your face. You try to push her along and see another woman running in your peripheral vision fighting with laser eyes.Â
