I noticed that sometimes Kim has these almost childish mannerisms, like repeating words, staring at the ground and being described as "like a boy" when is upset/ambarassed

evrart claire is just such a delicious mix of intricacies he's very sociable and charismatic while being a recluse with a very sheltered and controlled lifestyle + environment and he carries himself as a caricature of his position while being genuinely ruthless and he has an unflappable cheery demeanor surrounding a heart full of deep seated hatred

I wish we knew more about the Lund sisters and Klaasje (but I also get that them being mysterious is the whole point.) Still, Klaasje says she studied Oranje's literature, Målin was interested in Khan's stories about history and the pale also she was a good student. Other characters define Klaasje and the girls by their beauty, but they are probably the smartest characters in the story. Imagine figuring out how a mostly unexplained scientific phenomenon works at the age of 12-14 and using it to your advantage.
