Many times people will ask me what kind of music I'm into, or if there's a certain genre I lean more towards. Honestly, my taste is all over the place, but in the past few years I have narrowed it down to one solid idea of what I personally enjoy. I'm attracted to down tempo beats with mixes of hip hop incorporated into it. It comes to no surprise then when I stumbled across Different Sleep that it was an automatic love affair.

Hailed from Chicago, Rafa Alvarez is the next greatest thing this genre touches. He was a guest artist at this years Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival along with the likes of Actress, Evian Christ, and Kastle. His music transcends from space hazy sounds to euphoric heavy bass beats that make it so dreamy and wonderful. I'm looking forward to what this young producer will bring for us in 2014.
