Quite honestly I think Light would like you. He himself is a perfectionist and is all about keeping things in order. He’d be beyond pleased with you studying law and would highly encourage it ( even though he’s Kira ). There would be plenty of study dates, except they wouldn’t be romantic they would be completely serious. He’d make sure you were focused and constantly on top of your work. He’d be an expert at figuring out when you’re stressed and when he does he always knows how to relax you, he’d brew you up some tea or whatever your favorite drink is and force you to take a break. Surprisingly this man is a master at self care but then again it’s only natural for him to want to take care of what’s his ( he sees you as more of a trophy wife material tbh ) Like he really wants to look like the perfect couple, that’s the main goal here. Just like you he’d never tell anyone but he finds your obsession with soft toys to be adorable, he’d even surprise you with them in private. He’d love to read any book that you recommend especially if it was works of nonfiction, of course he’d recommend his own to you as well. He’d enjoy watching you practice ballet as much as he enjoys hearing you play the piano. You guys are literally the sophisticated couple that would most likely go to art galleries or banquets together

Most To Least Likely To Use Pet Names

Matsuda

He’d probably call his s/o things like sweetie, doll, or baby. Without even having to be asked to.

Matt

Matt wouldn’t have to be asked either but he’d probably stick to calling his s/o babe or babygirl/babyboy.

Mello

It would take Mello about a month or so before he even thinks about using pet names and he usually uses them after his s/o starts using them.

Beyond Birthday

He’d probably start doing it unintentionally without thinking, he’d definitely use love a lot when talking to his s/o.

Ryuk

Would probably start using pet names after he overheard another human couple call each other something like sweetie or baby, he’d probably try it out and find himself enjoying it more than he first thought he would.

Light

You’d definitely have to ask him first, he prefers calling his s/o by their given name but if they really want him to call them by a pet name he will. I don’t see him using pet names first without being asked unless he wants something.

Mikami

Doesn’t really see the use of pet names, you’d probably have to talk him into it, he understands aliases but doesn’t understand calling his partner like sugar or anything. It’d probably sound a bit unnatural at first when he begins using them, after a while though it’d become more natural for him.

Near

The thought wouldn’t even cross his mind, he too understands aliases and finds them to be a necessity, but when alone he’d like to use his s/o real name since he doesn’t get to use it all that often. He finds being able to use their real name brings them closer and I feel if he truly likes someone and truly trusts them he’d want that closeness.

L

Doesn’t see the importance of pet names but he doesn’t exactly dislike them, if his s/o asked him he’d call them whatever they wanted but he wouldn’t say it with too much affection just trying to please them, he’d even forget to use the pet names at times due to not being used to it.
