Even the fourth-place finisher would have won gold in August.

11-year-old Marley Dias is the hero we need
You may have heard of Marley Dias. After not seeing herself represented in books, she launched the #1000BlackGirlBooks project. At such a young age, Dias understands and spreads the notion that representation matters. And she’s about reach even more people who need it.
@whitehouse Please let the President know about this young star.
do u ever feel like you’ve accidentally tricked certain people into thinking you are smarter and have more potential than you actually do and do you ever think about how disappointed they’ll be when you inevitably crash and burn
One-Year Anniversary Of Charleston Church Massacre
A rally in loving memory of the Charleston Church Massacre victims, nine people shot by a racist gunman during a prayer service.
June 17 will mark a one-year anniversary of the Charleston Church shooting when 9 people were murdered by the ruthless shooter Dylann Roof in the church. He was hoping to ignite a race war and sooner or later he will pay for that. Justice will be served.
But these innocent people will never come back to their loved ones, to their sons and daughters, mothers and fathers and they deserve to be honored and remembered..
Black Matters will honor the memory of the victims on June 18th. We’re planning to lay flowers and light candles near the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston. Then we’ll march around the neighborhood where Lord accepted his 9 martyrs.
