@decomposerr
It is so annoying when authors try to make their characters seem tough by making them sleep deprived and then just having them "power through it" with no side effects besides feeling REALLY tired. Your characters had five hours of sleep over three days, they're not just "tired". They're forgetting shit. They're passing out at random moments. They're probably hallucinating. And they are certainly not going to win a fight when their reaction time is somewhere between "next Tuesday" and "never".
Heartbreaking: the worst type of person you know made an excellent point
saying "question mark?" and "however comma," out loud are game changers. punctuation on the go. and it's always the funniest thing that anyone around you has ever heard
not to be a joyless hag but I've started seeing genderbent "yuri" shipping Markiplier and Ryan Gosling and I can't help but think of someone I recently I unfollowed for posting that they have an easier time caring about genderbent versions of boy characters than regular fictional women
and I'm also building some connections to that post I made about reading books by Black women (you know the one) and the people who would respond by saying something akin to "joke's on you, I only read fanfic 😜" as if that were some kind of clever loophole and not a demonstration of the exact thing I was talking about
like yes fandom is about fun or whatever but idk man at what point has your desire for no thoughts head empty uncritical consumption left you splashing around in something that's been blended down to an indistinguishable goo for the sake of avoiding anything remotely challenging. with the thing that's "challenging" here being. you know. giving a shit about women and Black people and like frankly anyone but your shippable white men (and honorary Markiplier).
don't make me tap the five year old teen vogue article, etc
All experiences of escapism are not created equally.
not now sweetie, mommy is watching how the massive girlbossification of female characters has led to the belief that weak and vulnerable female characters are badly written characters because apparently every woman needs to be outspoken and witty and snarky and brave in order to be considered “complex” and have any value in a piece of media!!
puppy play but theres fireworks going off and i'm trembling under a pile of blankets under a desk and you need to feed me little pieces of cheese to calm me down but i'm so scared i might throw up the cheese
toby fox: i need to oversee my translations so that they all have Authorial Intent and so that the humor and wordplay is not lost
also toby fox: 4rd in japanese is just 4th with a question mark
i know i say this every time but there is no reason on gods green earth that a game should be over 100GB
If I'd never laid eyes on it, never spoke of it...
just you wait, dude. just you wait
“Put him on his knees give him something to believe in” has the exact same energy and depth of meaning as anything Hozier puts out on the regular but since it’s sung by Megan Thee Stallion no one takes it seriously. In this essay I will-
To flesh this out a little bit more: both Megan Thee Stallion and Hozier write and sing really sexual songs, but they’re different in that Hozier’s music is typically “let me worship you” while Megan’s is usually “I’m worshipping myself,” which makes all the difference because it’s an acceptance of power rather than the giving of it. He’s the sinner, she’s the saint. However, taking their difference in genres out of it, people don’t usually seem to take Megan Thee Stallion’s music seriously in comparison to Hozier because a) her lyrics are more overtly and blatantly sexual and b)she’s claiming her sexuality for herself, and that scares a lot of people. The secret, no-one-wants-to-talk-about reason is that she’s a confident black woman, which terrifies people way than sex does. In conclusion, Hozier and Megan Thee Stallion are two sides of the same poetic, sexual coin, but people just don’t want to admit it. Which is WHY a collaboration between Hozier and Megan would be so powerful that it would change the timeline as we know it yes I will elaborate
Joanna Karpowicz — The Fox's Wedding (Anubis Meets Yōkai)
There is a series featuring Anubis as its motif/main character, where Anubis travels through Japan and the world, encountering yokai and people along the way.
i think most of my life has been spent in pursuit of the highs i reached looking up "vore" on deviantart when i was 12
I've never been able to recapture it. Not really. But reading yuri manga under the sheets at 2 am comes close
Sorry to go on about this but genuinely I wish i knew how to access this feeling again. Its such a unique thrill because (not to get gross) but that was before I even understood what jerking off was. I wasn't jerking off. It was sexual but not in any way that's familiar to me now. I would just sit there for hours crawling forums and websites and looking at every possible image or story I could about vore. And it was fucking electrifying. It was the most exciting thing i'd ever experienced in my life at the time. I would go to school and id look at a girl I had a crush on and I would imagine her eating me and I would feel so humiliated id put my head down on my desk and cry. But then I'd go home and look up poorly drawn comics of giant catgirls eating people and it was so exhilirating that it felt like basically nothing else existed around me. I stopped eating for 2 days because I kept imagining getting eaten every time I would go to eat food. It was genuinely so exciting. I haven't felt that level of passion for anything since. All of it immediately went away once I learned how to jerk off. Then it was a thing I thought about for a few hours a day at most. But before that? My life was impossible to describe. It was like everything was new again.
