celestia is such a funny character like she's constantly manipulating twilight and friends to do shit instead of just asking and you could arguably frame that as being bc she's a "god" and pushing fate to her design or whatever, except that she engages with the group like a normal and relatable person, which makes it more like villainous machinations, except 90% of this manipulation goes towards things like "I don't want my party to be boring shit again. put my little country girl blorbos in there with zero prep so they fuck it up bad"

Celestia instantly makes more sense as a character when you ignore the princess stuff and remember that she's a 1000+ years old wizard. Of course she does manipulative trickster stuff to teach moral lessons and/or cause chaos to amuse herself, that's classic wizard behavior. Of course sometimes she's actually socially awkward and bad at personal relationships and has bad ideas that she thought were good that result in her eating shit embarrassing style, that's classic wizard behavior. Of course she lets the aristocrats and nobles run around being assholes she's still running on wizard advisor programming, she's basically trying to merlin the entire upper class of equestria instead of just a king and some knights. "Yeah uuhhh we'll release the incarnation of chaos himself from his ancient prison because we think this shy girl can be friends with him", terrible plan if you're thinking like a ruler, amazing plan if you're thinking like a wizard. Just look at Canterlot 'Castle' for five seconds and ask yourself if that's in any way a castle. No. Wizard tower, yes. Wizard.

             The Apple Family Reunion made me cry

The episode itself wasn’t sad, but it made me really upset that I don’t have a family like the the Apple family. Applejack says that family is the first group of friends you ever make, and I teared up. I have a broken home and no one gets along with each other. My parents had kids right out of high school as a mistake, split up, and I’ve been suffering for it since. I don’t get the happy family that spends holidays together. Instead I can’t even mention my dad around my mom without her getting all pissed off, and I can hardly talk to my dad because he has a new family. But one day I plan to marry and have a family of my own, and I hope to make that a beautiful and happy family like the Apple family.

I used to be a very loyal brony, nowadays I hate the fandom. I was very loyal and “heavy” brony before, I used to translate the episodes to my language, to hunt hours for the toys and invite lots of people to the fandom.. but then everything got ruined for me when those 10 years old kids started entering the fandom and not recognizing the people who helped building it when it was new.

Ok yeah brotherhooves social wasn’t the best handled episode but like imagine it. Come on a journey with me ok. A world with bigender Big McIntosh in it. Do you think she struggles to fill her mother’s shoes? Do you think he ever wishes she was there to show him how?

Anyways apparently I have big feelings about Big Mac! Also I like Pear Butter. I was going to redesign her for this drawing but evidently I decided she’s perfect and changed nothing. I did give Mac a more flattering dress however (because I didn’t like how the pink ribbons clashed). He wears flowers to match hers.
