Professor Sycamore: Cradle Robber?!
To the very few Pokemon fans abhorred by Sycamore being paired with Serena, Calem or a Trainer that’s just as young:
1) In Japanese animation and graphic novels, its acceptable for characters between 12-16 to be paired with older characters. We’re not talking about 5 yr olds with 85 yr old perverts. We’re talking epic love stories between characters that mutually love each other.
2) Characters in Japanese animation are a BILLION times more mature than that next door kid, Billy, who lights up blunts like they’re going out of style. Tell me, do you know a fifteen year old kid that acts like the 14-16 yr old Keyblade Wielders in Kingdom Hearts? Or a fifteen year old kid that acts like Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist? And yes, Ed’s canonical age is 15. Even Ash/Satoshi from Season One is far more mature than your 10 yr old brother.
3) The fan art/fanfiction depicts mutual relationships. There’s no rape, no non consensual acts of any kind. Its all epic love stories.
4) And besides, Disney Princesses are stated to be 16 yrs of age. Most of them.
5) Let’s not forget that Serena and Calem are older than your average Pokemon Trainers too.
