self portrait | 2024

A few years ago, around 2020, I started a tradition — to draw a self-portrait for each new year. This tradition has no specific purpose, I do not seek to capture my face this year in order to then compare it with how it looked in the previous one (especially since I often delete these self-portraits or lose them if they are drawn on paper), but I still try to follow this tradition. After all, there's a whole year ahead, and I'll have plenty of time to think about why I keep doing this. _______________________ Несколько лет назад, примерно в 2020 году, я завела традицию — под каждый новый год рисовать автопортрет. У этой традиции нет конкретной цели, я не стремлюсь запечатлеть своё лицо в текущем году, чтобы потом сравнивать его с тем, как оно выглядело в предыдущем (тем более что я часто удаляю эти автопортреты или теряю их, если они нарисованы на бумаге), но я всё равно стараюсь следовать этой традиции. В конце концов, впереди целый год, и у меня будет достаточно времени, чтобы подумать над тем, почему я продолжаю это делать.
