  “Can you not hover?  It’s kinda creepy.”  It’s not often his sister can loom over him given their height difference, assuming she wasn’t wearing heels and him being at a desk was cheating.  “You wanna trade?” Alec asked, tossing a pen over his shoulder at her face.  “I’ll run patrol and you can murder your spine on...whatever this is.  Honestly, I stopped paying attention half an hour ago, you wanna get dinner or something?”

A total and complete lie, though that’s neither here nor there. “You’re much cooler than Simon, even if you are a pain in the ass,” Jace says thoughtfully. “No, I don’t think you have anything to worry about when it comes to me trading you in for an even more annoying model.” He ignores what Alec said about getting some sleep completely. “Right, grab your jacket. I need food. And then we’re coming up with a way to deal with this.”

“I have seen you with bedhead.  I have pictures,” he threatens.  “You wake up and it sticks up everywhere.  You do not get up flawless.”  Alec gestures at Jace’s hair pointedly with his stele.  “Izzy however, does. I have no idea how considering I watched her grow up and I still don’t know when that happened.”  He rolls his eyes and traces another iratze on one side.  “This model is defective, but it’s way past it’s warranty so you’re stuck with me.  Missed your window, buddy.”  Alec snatches a jacket, looking at him expectantly.  “Food, yes.  But I feel like your way of dealing with it involves throwing punches and I don’t think those would be received well.”

hey friends!  I’m trying to go back to university after a year long break at community college and with the way my mental health is, I can’t go back without this service dog.  We just don’t have the money out of pocket and I’ve been trying to get this dog for four years.  If I don’t get the money, I don’t get the dog that I desperately need.

my mom is not in agreement with me about this dog so I don’t think I can get any financial support from her edit: just spoke with my father and confirm no financial support from parents

     Catching the shirt just before it would have hit her in the face, Izzy just sends an unamused glare in his direction, tossing the piece of clothing onto the bed. “Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look good,” she snarks out a reply, her gaze critical as she eyes him. “'Impress’ means don’t look like you hardly put any effort into your look, and just picked out the first thing you grabbed. You know they basically want to show you off to the Clave members, anyway.” Getting up, she moves to his closet, plucking a shirt out before holding it against him. “Try this one. The color brings out your eyes.”

     “You do know that the Fairisles have a daughter, right?  I don’t think you’re the one they’re especially concerned about.  Which is exactly the problem.”  He rolls his eyes and kicks off a shoe at her.  “Besides, if anything you could probably afford to tone it down a little.”  Alec inspects the shirt critically, raising his eyebrows at her.  “I know I’m not the one who’s good at colors here, but...this is purple?  I don’t think mom would approve.”
