Who is this band and where did they come from?!
for no discernible reason at all the fact that this game exists came popping into my head literally 3 minutes ago. I had to google “wooden game with holes and stones” to remember its name… MANCALA.
so many hours spent playing this game in elementary/middle school, so many.
The daily cartoon by Benjamin Schwartz.
Have you guys cried your way through this John Legend video yet? Because I am sobbing at my dining room table.
I made it to the woman with vitiligo and lost my entire shit.
What they said.
Fact-checking some of the gun lobby’s favorite arguments shows they’re full of holes.
The third bullet point made me feel physically sick.
Myth #5: Keeping a gun at home makes you safer. Fact-check: Owning a gun has been linked to higher risks of homicide, suicide, and accidental death by gun. • For every time a gun is used in self-defense in the home, there are 7 assaults or murders, 11 suicide attempts, and 4 accidents involving guns in or around a home. • 43% of homes with guns and kids have at least one unlocked firearm. • In one experiment, one third of 8-to-12-year-old boys who found a handgun pulled the trigger.
Gun violence and death is an epidemic in this country and I’m terrified. If you want to be part of a grassroots movement that is creating change and saving lives then you should check out Moms Demand Action. (You don’t have to be a mom to join.)
We came, we taco-ed, we conquered! Taco May was a great success, and the only regret I have is that we didn’t have more nights at home to eat MORE tacos!
Here’s where we ended up:
Homemade gorditas (A)
BLT salmon tacos (A)
Tandoori chicken tacos (B)
Sweet potato and...

This looks so good I don’t even mind that Adam Driver is in it.
Looking forward to watching this moving and then self-righteously complaining to everyone that UGH THE BOOK WAS SO MUCH BETTER.
Cannot fucking wait. Props to Selena for turning me into a Jonathan Tropper groupie.
THIS PIC! It actually stopped me in my tracks when I walked by a newstand this morning. (Current cover of Paper)
PSA: Jeans Edition
Let me preface this by saying that I do not normally get down with dropping this kind of cash on a single article of clothing anything. However, these jeans might be worth it.
They are super soft, a little stretchy, and, most importantly to me, high waisted. (So they are prefect for tucking in my OMG POST BABY BAHHHHHHDY.) I felt good when I tried them on. In fact, I didn’t want to take them off and put back on my comfy, broken in jeans.
We all know that the universal experience of shopping for jeans = shedding at least one tear in the dressing room so this was a very welcome change.
Oh, and they’re made in Los Angeles. There’s my fix for the day.
Long story short: If you’re in the market for a new pair of expensive jeans then you should drop by your local J Crew and try on the Point Sur Hightower skinny jeans.
I see your Point Surs and raise you the Leigh from Top Shop. I love them so much I have purchased four pairs in as many weeks. And at $65, totally do-able.
Holy. Jesus. This song is so real life.
That’s what people do who love you. They put their arms around you and love you when you’re not so lovable.

This. So very, very relevant to my life right now.

He’s so cute
Sending someone a gift? Giving one to yourself? How about some wrapping paper you can actually use — like this towel — and an equally lovely book inside.

Perfect gift is perfect.
