If God is making you wait, then wait. God is trying to show you something.
Temptation is the provocation to sin, it is not the sin itself.
Therefore, you did not sin if you are tempted; it is when you act on the temptation, that you did sin.
Rebuke it, and bring it under the authority and obedience of Christ.
And if you feel heavy for experiencing the temptation, repent about it. God is gracious, and faithful, and knows our struggles, for we are not tempted beyond what we can bear. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

I've had some thoughts lately, and I had some personal revelations as well. This is the truth that I want to share, for someone who may need it: You are NOT your sin.
You are NOT doomed to hell because you fell back into sin (even when you promised God many times you wouldn't do it again)
You are NOT a failure because you fell back.
You ARE a child of God
You ARE loved by Him.
If you have accepted Christ as your savior, you have just accepted His gift of eternal life. Like God says, you are no longer bound by sin!! (Romans 6:14).
So what happens after we are saved? What are we supposed to do? God instructs us to turn away from sin and do our very best to live like Jesus did. This is called sancitifcation, and it is the life-long process of turning away from sin. Not only that, He wants a relationship with us!! He wants us to live a life full of love and compassion for others, as well as for us to preach His gospel.
But, what happens if I committed a sin I used to do before I was saved? I used to think that because I fell back into sin and bad habits, i just lost my salvation, even though i stopped and repented. I used to have that doubt. You cannot lose your salvation. The only way is if constantly keep committing that same sin without repentance. (i go more into depth about this here) God knows our hearts, He knows when we are trying to stop and when we have hardened our hearts to Him.
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
- Matthew 7:21
"9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God."
- 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
What happens if I had sex before marriage? Can I not go to heaven?
Notice how this verse says "fornicators" instead of "those who have fornicated". He is talking about those who are committing those sins, not those who have already committed them. Your past sins are blotted out because of your faith in Jesus!!! If you have repented, It is no longer being held against you.
"11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God."
- 1 Corinthians 6:11
Sure, sometimes we slip up. God doesn't want us to sit in guilt and not get back up. Guilt and shame do not come from God. We must pray, fast, and keep our spirits covered by the armor of God. Fight the good fight. I struggled with this for a very long time, just sitting in guilt and shame and not progressing because i was afraid of God, and i wanted to hide from Him. He loves us, He doesn't want us to be ashamed. But, He will convict you out of love for you. That conviction comes from the Holy Spirit, which helps us in our path to repentance.
"For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death."
2 Corinthians 7:10
I hope this helps, whoever you are. Even though I don't have all the answers, and may not be able to always explain things clearly, Jesus is here to help you, and He loves you!!
It is written... "put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes."
-Ephesians 6:11
“I would rather offend you into heaven, than people-please you into hell.”
- a quote I saw on a Christian Instagram page
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐧
"How can there be an unforgiveable sin if God forgives everything?"
While yes, God forgives every sin we have committed when we ask for His forgiveness, there is one which cannot be forgiven. It is not simply a one time act that you accidentally make, it is committed over a lifetime. Every sin has been forgiven us when we repent and do our best to stop sinning. While we may never be sinless, through Christ and His love we can sin less .Do not be deceived by the evil one, God is all loving and wants to forgive us and help us get through sin!
"I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more"
-Hebrews 10:17
What is the unforgiveable sin? Can I know if I committed it?
The unforgiveable sin is the Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. It is when you decide to live separate from God until death.
"And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come."
-Matthew 12:31-32
This sin was originally committed by the religious leaders misleading others by telling them that the miracles and works of Jesus were from demonic spirits, and accused him of being demonically possessed. (You can read about this in John 7, 8, and 10:20)
It is not insulting or thinking bad words about the Holy Spirit, nor can you commit it on accident, it is a malicious lifetime act of rejecting and denouncing God's free gift of salvation through Jesus. It is also believing that you don't need Jesus to avoid the punishment of eternal suffering and separation from God when you die; and also misleading others with these false beliefs against the Holy Spirit. We receive access to the Father because of Jesus' sacrifice, and the Holy Spirit is an intercessor.
I personally struggled with feeling like I blasphemed against the holy spirit at some point, and I was afraid I wasn't going to be with God for eternity. So for those who wonder if they committed it, odds are you haven't. The conviction you feel is the Holy Spirit nudging you to come to Him. He wants you to recognize that we have all fallen short of His glory, and the only way to be free of sin is through the act of believing in Jesus and repenting of that sin.
"When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
-John 8:12
His return is imminent, repent and follow Jesus. I confess that Jesus is Lord.

He saved us all! He sent His one and only son, Jesus, to die for us and pay the price of our sins. I no longer have to worry about where I go after I die because I will be with Jesus
He is literally the reason I’m alive. I’m made in His image, to glorify Him. Why wouldn’t I want to glorify Him? I love God so much.
He hasn’t left me despite me going in and out of complacency. I feel like I am the prodigal son sometimes, but He always loves me and welcomes me back when I seek Him.
No matter how hard I try to run away sometimes, He never lets me go. I could try my hardest to go back to sin, but He won’t let me! God truly loves me and I can’t wait to meet Him!
When I see His creation, especially nature, it makes me think of God as this masterful painter. Everyday He paints the sunrise and sunset and the clouds in the sky. Each day brings a unique experience given to us by God. I love God so much. He is so divine and my mere human mind cannot comprehend His majestical ways. He lives within me and all those who have accepted His Son. I am so glad He chose me. I cannot wait to be with Him.
Who else is not ashamed of Jesus Christ? ✋

[Personal Note] - Hey friend, its been a while since I posted here! I've been taking time to grow closer to God. I have discovered a passion for ministry, so this blog definitely helps me grow in that area. My only goal here is to help others know more about God! Now, back to the post:
Hmm... true repentance, what is it? Before I answer this question, let me give an example.
"Oh no, I sinned again! I know I said I wouldn't do it again, but I just gave in because I figured one more time wouldn't hurt. I feel bad, but God will forgive me again because he always forgives."
My friend, if this is your mindset, this is not repenting; this is taking advantage of God's grace. I would be a hypocrite if I said I haven't done this. During my walk with God, I have done this many times but it only kept me stuck in complacency longer. I had heard many sermons about repenting, I always thought it was just saying sorry to God because you felt guilty after sinning. It took me a while to learn that it involves not only acknowledging your sin and asking for forgiveness, but also involves action!
“Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
- James 2:17 NKJV
We can't just sit and expect things to change! I'll be honest, I'm very guilty of this! I'm starting to come out of that mindset of "Im content with where I am with God.", and i pray for those who may also be struggling with this. So, heres a list of things I personally learned on how to truly repent:
1. Acknowledgment - acknowledge the sin committed as sin
2. Prayer - ask God for forgiveness, but also to show you a solution to solve the problem!
3. Solution - walk with God to find the root of the sin so you can unroot it from your life.
4. Remove temptations - close those open doors of that sin; cut off anything that may tempt you to recommit that sin. (whether it be certain objects, websites, etc.)
5. Reach out - You are not alone in this journey, reach out to someone close who can help with accountability!
6. Remember that Jesus loves you and He is cheering you on! He will never leave or forsake you ever. No sin is too big for Him to handle!
Remember, repentance is not a one time thing, it is a daily walk. Christ says we must die to ourselves daily to walk with Him, and this is part of that! The longer you walk, the less that sin will feel good. To quote an article I read, "The sinner turns away from sin toward faith in the Savior, and that faith is shown in action"(GotQuestions app) When you repent and have that change within your heart, God starts to move in your life more. He will draw closer to you as you draw closer to Him!
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
- James 4:8 NKJV
It can be a struggle though, believe me when I say it can be hard some days. Keep up the fight! Because in the end it is so so so worth it.
The best thing about being a follower of Jesus Christ, is the overwhelming feeling of being in God's presence and knowing what our Heavenly Father's love feels like. God fills His children up to the brim with the highest form of love, and in that fullness, there is an outpour of radiance that the people within in our presence experience. The men and women that have Christ in their hearts, contain the purest, most selfless love.
Keep praying to God every single day, no matter how hopeless and impossible your situation appears. God can change your entire life in a single moment. 🙏

"In the darkness, His light, guides me through the shadows of my mind.
In the depths of despair, His love lifts me beyond the ache.
Through the pain, His voice calms my thoughts.
Even in my brokenness, His grace is the melody that soothes my soul."🌼
