Side note: I made this artwork (the two hands) in the summer on wood. I hadn’t read TSOA yet at that time, and I feel like it was meant to be.

I finished The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue last night and it was the most beautiful book. I listened to this song a lot while reading it and it just hit different. I mean even the name kinda fits the story (French & Library) If you’ve read it please listen.
I feel all the emotions.
The End
I stagger backwards, and find the open window.
Then there’s only air.
A sea of hopeless molecules, that will not hold me back, nor slow me down.
It’s as if I drift through nothingness.
So fast, yet time seems to slow down.
If only I could turn it back.
Once, I thought of how it would be. These final seconds of life. Realising there is nothing you can do to stop it.
But now, when careless thoughts have become reality, I feel nothing.
I don’t even feel the brisk air on my skin.
But, it is in that moment, that everything comes together.
You see life as it truly is.
A gift, a journey, a chance.
How long do I have left?
With my eyes towards the sky, I see a falling star.
And though I wish I could make that wish, there’s nothing to stop this inevitable end.
So I close my eyes.
And ask the star, to be remembered.
