Third Doctor Era: Technology Aesthetic

so... I've been drawing my silly Doctor who oc and well. i like him a lot.

so i wrote a fanfic :) (it's just the introduction one shot tho)

and made an ilustration for it!

It's a postcard with the recipe for pear strudel :)

transcript for the recipe

2 Strudels

2 puff pastry

egg or milk for the wash

filling:

3 pears

cranberry

lemon juice

cinnamon

kardamon

dash of salt

vanilla sugar

mix the filling, measure with your heart

prepare the pastry with a bit of flour to stop the moisture

put the filling in the middle and fold the pastry over it

smooth the edges with wet fingers

make a few small holes on top

make the egg wash (beaten egg) and use it over the top 

bake for 40 min on 180 celcius

tips

leave the puff pastry out for a bit before you roll it out (if too long its gets unworkable)

cinnamon makes EVERYTHING better (coffee, cookies… any baked good or cooking even)

same with salt (salt enhances flavours)

I think for Time Lords sexism is common but not taken very seriously bc due to the whole regeneration thing discrimination based on gender is more or less seen the same as discrimination based on zodiac signs. So no one bats an eye or does more than groan if you say something sexist for the same reason you're unlikely to lose your job if someone sends your boss a tweet saying that October Scorpios and June Cancers are inherently untrustworthy.

When the Doctor leans into it as One it's because the novelty of going to a planet where people are earnestly like "I don't think Gemini's should vote" would be funny at first until you realise they're dead serious and have been very systematic with it and even afterwards you might slip up.

Am quite happy with the little differences i managed to show :) the show just used the same model for human Jim's (drawn on scars) but I happy to make him look older and buffer. And young again Jim less put together and overall bit more traumatized.

Trollhunters Jim is looking forwards, wizards Jim is destroying everything he stand for so be looks back, no amulet Jim is reminiscing and end of movie Jim is looking at us, the new present.

These are still just sketches (like everything I've done about them) so don't think about the wobbliness that much pls

Your right that mane can mean more horse like but I remember reading the description mentioning it more lion like (also Krubera inspo as another 'royal' species) but this still gives the fluffyness without being so prominent.

You are absolutely right about the legs. English is not my first language so i don't always understand expressions like that (ball of a foot is just kinda weird and makes me think heel 🤷)

I tried the more 'normal' body shape as well. Not sure it makes her feel mighty enough tho. I like animal designs so my thoughts often go that direction right away. But ye, this makes sense too

It kind of fucks with me that somebody killed ötzi the iceman because ötzi himself is like whatever but the silent presence of human hands that drew back the string of the bow that shot the arrow that killed him is crazy. the idea that there were various people involved in that situation and while one of them has had his last hours painstakingly reconstructed and studied to no end, the others now only exist insofar that an arrowhead had to get into his shoulder somehow. imagine killing someone and then suddenly your entire existence is only a vague shadow implied by the fact that you killed them. much to consider

Testing the mummified bone marrow of ötzi to figure out his ancestry whole time there’s definitely another person, maybe more than one, standing in the room with us but I can never see or speak to them because I only know them through the assurance that they were there too in the form of one single arrowhead. I hate prehistory so much it’s unreal
