maybe Cold Open just got to me a little bit but. idk since Rin's redebut I kept thinking about it and the reaction to it and i guess it's like. i see why people say her model and setup now are more generic for a Vtuber and whatnot, but truly: nothing else really changed. it's been what, a month? since redebut, and once i adjusted to the visual changes, it was back to Rin being... Rin. just doing and saying funny goofy stuff, playing funny games, same old jokes, same familiar recurring characters. and to me it's like. an example of "you can do whatever you want forever" in the sense that. yeah if you have the money, you can just get a whole redebut for a fancy model and aesthetic you like more than the previous one, and then change nothing else. you can just do whatever you like however you like. nothing means anything. yeah it's not that deep but it's. do you believe in Someone Like Me making it. an aroace vtuber whose whole Internet persona is The Bit TM who also got flown out to Japan to do a 3d debut. weird things happen to weird people. there's no limit to how far you can fail upwards. good night.

Cold open, the song, is what officially flipped me over to the new model. It's so authentically Rin, or what we as an audience perceive as Rin, that it dug inside me and got me to finally see Rin in that model. It is just. Rin.
