I have many reasons for disliking the "family" argument for system responsibility, but my main one is that these people don't understand that the answer to their accusations/questions can be "no".

"If your little sister did something wrong, you would apologize." No the fuck I would not. I would just tell her to knock it off and then explain why what she did was wrong. If someone follows up with me about it, I truthfully tell them that I explained to her that she was in the wrong and why. I don't need to take the blame to better the situation or to communicate that I don't share those views, and I don't need to apologize for someone else's actions. Stop acting like your way of doing things is the objectively "correct" way of handling a situation. I can't stand the righteous attitude of these people.
