I just came here to say that it's impressive the representation the bottle cap had to edward, like yes it was a weird token and whatever but it possessed so much power over him. Like, the moment he destroys it's, its as if he is destroying his ideals and dreams of being with bella "forever" (her version of forever at least) and immediately decides that he is going to leave her at some point, just to give her a shot of a normal life because he finally faces the harsh reality and how its obviously dangerous of Bella to be around him because she could die.

Idk, I just found the symbolism of the bottle cap so interesting and it's amazing how after that moment his thoughts grow so much darker and the last few chapters of the book are extremely sad and painful to read in comparison to the other ones.

okay but something I truly love about midnight sun is how with Edward you get to know every bit of conversation they had because to him it's so important what bella has to say, while in twilight bella is just like "Oh yea he was questioning me all day" and pretty much shrugs it off.
