2015 -END OF YEAR LISTS
Welp. We are two weeks into 2016 and I couldnt’t stop consuming media last year! 2015 was one of the most packed years for fantastically great music, TV and movies in a long long time. Which made these the hardest lists ever to compile because there were so many great albums that I truly loved. So, its hard to rank something that is based on personal taste, but also innovation. The Top 15 albums were extremely hard to figure out, because there were so many brilliant albums. Ultimately, it came down to what album did I listen to the most, connect with the most, and which artist impressed me the most.
Unfortunately, in my original Twitter version, some stuff was accidentally omitted due to the overflow of great records from the year. Notably Panda Bear, Purity Ring, and Dr. Dre, who I had on all drafts of the top 50, but somehow disappeared once I started tweeting it and then they escaped until it was too late. And because I consider all three mandatory for the year I have revised the top 50 to include them and tweak some other stuff to better reflect me.( Serves me right for using the iPhone notes app to compile the list all year, including as I tweeted.) A two weeks later revision also allows me to look back at last year’s music with a different sensibility.
Regardless, here are my Top 50 Albums of 2015! Also included as a bonus, and not previously tweeted, are my top 10 films and TV Seasons that I watched in 2015. Enjoy! Debate! Tweet me! Check out the order I had originally had to let me know what you liked better! I guess it also lets you see my process. But I want this to be my final list on record.
