Those banquets are supposed to represent REFINEMENT. They're intended to be a upscale meeting between the best of the best. There's no room for "fun" or whatever Mr. Brubot's suspiciously toony idea of fun is. If he came he might as well just start tapdancing on the table and singing.

She started out as an incredible nuisance, but after so many break-ins, its really become routine.

Frankly, it provides a bit of a distraction from the monotony of reviewing paperwork, not much happens here in the Central Oil District.
