Black Friday did not predict the labubu craze it critiqued a phenomenon that has happened multiple times in the past and then it happened again. And it will keep happening again and Black Friday didn't just critique the toy craze, it also dissected the reasons for why it happens and the culture that allows it to happen. bbc merlin is a fun silly show that begs the question what if you were given a destiny you didn’t understand and you betrayed yourself time and time again in what you think is a selfless act of love that will serve a greater purpose, only for that to be the exact reason you fail and the undoing of the person you love most. and then the random filler episodes are like this witch is doing terrorism in camelot by sneaking magic mushroom bombs into the soup and merlin has to gaslight arthur into thinking he doesn’t like mushrooms or something idk

so here's a fun fact. Adding up the distances and estimated flight times for Act One, when Curt gets to Monte Carlo it has been *at least* 24 hours since he has had a drink (I'm not going to count the flask swig in Cynthia's office in A1P4)

For someone with serious alcohol use disorder (which I think it's safe to assume Curt has), withdrawal follows a rough timeline:

Meaning that during the Casino scene, Curt might be hallucinating Owen specifically because he is in alcohol withdrawal. During Torture Tango, he might be hallucinating Owen because he is in alcohol withdrawal. Maybe he even thought he recognized something-- Owen's eyes or his hands or something-- and dismissed it because he has already had these hallucinations.

Adding in the travel times up until One More Shot, puts us at an absolute minimum 58 hours into Curt's alcohol withdrawal. All of these times are assuming direct flights, getting right off the plane and right back onto the plane without any time allotted to meeting with Cynthia or being at Curt's mom's house, so realistically my best guess is that he's probably at around 65-68 hours.

So right before One More Shot, Curt would be in the absolute most dangerous time for alcohol withdrawal, but also agonizingly close to the worst of it being over

i’m hoping that everyone remembers pomegranates-and-pretty-things because they wrote one of my favorite fics ever (something, anything, everything) and I was wondering if anyone knew why they went ghost online and deleted everything.
