📍Hi! Name's Dev (she/her) Welcome to my blog! Where I usually just yap about rpf - specifically Maxiel - and share my unholy writing (Therefore this is a strictly 🔞 space, minors dni).

📍I root Ferrari because I would lose my citizenship and my future firtsborn otherwise (release my family now, please).

📍I am in that phase of life where I'm juggling between work, uni and a semi-decent sporting career so I won't be as active as I'd like to be, in fact updates might be extremely slow. my favorite thing that has happened since daniel’s retirement is him suddenly growing six inches and looking 6’5 every time he pops up:

no other max ship is ever gonna live up to maxiel. it will always be THAT max ship ok. and i mean in like every sense. romantic, platonic, familial, whatever. its always gonna be maxiel.

cuz daniel’s got a big nose and max thinks its perfect even if daniel thinks its too big. cuz max likes that daniel’s smile can make the atmosphere feel so positive. cuz daniel’s glad if it cant be him its max. cuz max said he never actually wanted daniel to leave. cuz daniel knew if he asked max would. cuz max would listen if it was daniel.

cuz theyre always going to share the number 3 because max asked and daniel wouldn’t, didn’t, say no.

I don't know what possessed me to create this, but behold pufferfish Max in his Miami helmet!

After Daniel woke up from surgery he flagged down the first nurse he saw. It mostly had gone well was what she said. Some minor complications with his blood. The surgeons had had to replace his heart.

“My heart?” Daniel said.

“Only part of it,” the nurse reassured.

Only part. The nurse went off and Daniel stayed. He couldn’t think about anything; thoughts scattered and ran from him like cockroaches into corners when you turned on the light. A complaint rose up in his mouth but he swallowed it back down. Spit and the taste of tap water. It was part of his contract that Red Bull could do whatever was necessary to make him a better racer. He could have the contract amended but then Helmut would just throw him out. There were ten thousand boys slavering at a shadow of a chance at the life Daniel possessed, ten thousand boys with their fingers shoved under his bedroom door. Boys who would burn alive to sit in the car.

It wasn’t the whole thing, Daniel told himself, wiping his eyes on a corner of the bedsheet. He was, in part, still there.
