unfortunately very true. Doing Better does not always mean never being upset or never being triggered or never having trouble. often Doing Better means experiencing those things and being able to keep going/cope healthily/move on. if you’re in a bubble with no sensation, if you’re numbing yourself out, that’s not what recovering really is. it won’t help you have a happier life it’ll just make your world smaller and smaller until you can’t fit anywhere anymore. gotta learn to make peace with the hard stuff too, that’s the only way to keep going

the thing about media literacy is that understanding why the author chose to specify that the curtains are blue is the same skill set as understanding that the way the author characterizes all black characters as angry or all chinese characters as meek and silent is racist. it is the same skill set as being able to identify when a news source is biased or when someone is feeding you propaganda. the ability to ask "why did this person choose to present this premise in this specific way?" is a critical skill in a world full of misinformation. why are the curtains blue? maybe it's a characterization detail. maybe it's extraneous worldbuilding. why is this character written as being right all the time? maybe you're intended to disagree with them. maybe it doesn't matter. maybe you should still ask why.

Basically:

After Shadow Milk and the other beasts were silenced by Silent Salt, Lemon Lavender Cookie decided to save him, the cookie she realized she loves, by something extremely risky: grabbing herself a piece of the ultimate cookie’s dough while the Ultimate Oven wasn’t occupied.

She knows she loves that jester too much to let him suffer.

The war she went through against Dark Enchantress took a toll on her already unstable headspace. That and seeing Dark Enchantress become a witch, something LLC was bashed for being, is part of her drive to go into time. In a world of witches, she wanted to punish the, for these events unfolding.

Shadow Milk spotted her in the oven. but she played it off as splitting the dough piece with him. The piece she wound up with was smaller but she still gains a power that costs your sanity.

She fuses the dough with her Mauve Magic, aka the title of the magic she was baked with and got rumored to be a witch for.

Before becoming an amalgate of souls and a determined love, she flies into the open rift to punish all witches from every timeline while SMC encounters with a certin time wielding cookie.

it’s okay if your f/o sees you during your worse moments, struggling with the trials and mental health

Pico and Nene making a website together, Pico does the code and makes the base for it and Nene's in charge of the aesthetics and how it's actually gonna look, which means alot of pinks and sparkles

When Nene does the text and the bg colours she makes them too similar in shade so now Pico has to up the contrast by changing the text to either white or black bc everythings just unreadable otherwise lol

It would lowk end up looking like a barbie doll package but hey at least it looks pretty, if Pico was completely in charge it would have been the most bland looking thing ever or have a bunch of those awful yellow and red eyestrain colours together on a fully black base
