I was wondering if the "concubine's game" will get a next update? Im very curious on how the story will fare!
I actually do plan on resuming most of my series, including the Concubine game, when I'm finished the outline for the next few chapters in advance. I can't provide an exact timeline but hopefully sometime this month.
A rewrite, soulmate au with twst boys.

Jamil Viper β [ old version ]
Since his youth, Mr. Viper had always been a busybody. A decision made not by his personal choice but a pathway set for him since his unfortunate birth as an indentured servant in the Al-Asim household. A reality that had left the man completely uninterested in the concept of soulmates. It was a cruel reality to think of the fact that maybe, somewhere out there, some unfortunate soul was stuck with him . . By something as trifling as fate . . funny isn't it?
He was always stuck in his ways, stuck taking care of Kalim's childish and naive way of living. Picking up the mess he had left behind in his reckless and playful way of living. It was by a slim possibility that Jamil was finally able to escape the clutches of working under the Al-Asim family in his adulthood.
The rare hope he had somehow held onto became a reality, when he had landed a job elsewhere, somewhere further away. No really, he was far from home, putting his special skillset to work at his new place of refuge.
Of course freedom didn't come without a cost and Kalim did make it his new goal to come and bother Jamil whenever he could . . It was Bland, life was bland, an office-job had no semblance of the chaos that he had previously been accustomed too.Β
Maybe this was what those various psych reports he was forced to sit through and read in his elective psych class meant. Those reports on how people from chaotic backgrounds tended to prefer chaos when they got older, maybe those various readings actually held a candle to reality. A fact he didnβt enjoy acknowledging.Β
Not that heβd ever go back, peace while boring was still preferred to his past.Β
Even then, he wasnβt exactly living like he had previously intended either. The plan was to always leave and live, a result he has yet to receive. During these times, a thought of a soulmate did pass his mind, βloveβ, the kind of where you see someone, crossing the street, and just know.
Itβs pathetic, heβd never believe it.Β
But it did exist, and happened to many . . Yet finding your soulmate was rare, not a common occurrence, and heβd already counted his luck, used up most of his wishes on trying to convince his parents to let him travel abroad for work, a job so different then what theyβve known.Β
Jamil sighed, rubbing his forehead. The stress of work had finally gotten to him, the company he was currently working under had landed this big deal of sorts and everyoneβs been busy trying to carry out their particular set of tasks, the day has not looked down kindly on him.Β
He closed his laptop, taking the last sip of his coffee; Hands clenched down harshly onto the paper cup, squeezing it halfway to death. He let out a deep breath, checking his phone. The cafe was about to close, he should really leave.
Jamil moved trying to pack up all his stuff. Stuffing it all in his workbag, before swinging it on his shoulder, throwing out the cup on his way out as well.Β
Traffic could be heard from every corner, the streets of the city were loud day and night, itβs almost as if no one slept around here, like no one had work in the morning. He made his way to the crosswalk; Standing there he checked his phone. When he heard someone call out to him, the voice soft in amongst all the traffic noise, βHey, you forgot to press the button . . β
He paused, turning around . . βHey, are you listening?β, they asked once more but he couldnβt hear. Heart thumping and mouth slightly agape and he could feel it in his bones that this person . . you. Were the one.Β
βNevermind, I got itβ, Β you moved past him as he remained in place. Poor Mr. Viper, ridden speechless on a Monday night.
Bland, that's what life was as of late for Mr. Viper. Days passed without colour and much life.
Vil Schoenheit β [ old version ]
Vil Schoenheit was a man with a vision, he had perfectly immersed himself in a storyline. How he'd meet his soulmate, how they'd behave, things they'd do together. He had a clear idea of how this would all go, a storyline in his head perfectly made and settled within each other.Β
Nothing could come in-between him and his vision.
Except.
Reality of course.
Perfection wasn't that difficult to ask for was it? . . Okay, to be fair, it was. It always was, perfection an unattainable high that everyone hopes on reaching. Even himself, and that's perfectly fine and alright . . normal even.Β
But he had a hope, a dream, . . maybe he was a bit of a romantic, this might've been a direct result of being in all those romance films. He had a generous hope . . That he'd meet you on set, meet his soulmate while he acts, where heβs always felt in place, perfect. It would be a brief encounter and you both would just know. It would click.Β
It was a small hope, a brief one. He hoped youβd have seen his films before, maybe liked him, had an opinion on him . . And then you met him. A truly wonderful result.Β
Things would be perfect, if it went his way.Β
Instead everything was going wrong, the director frustrated, the weather being utterly uncooperative on set. Everyone was frustrated, his co-actors having a melt down. Technical difficulties.Β
Vil was trying to maintain his cool, he really was, going over left and right, he sat in his dressing room, fixing his makeup and hair. A compulsive effort, an attempt at manifesting, that if he looked perfect and put together, suddenly the day would become so as well.Β
The door opened just a bit, one of the crew members asked if they could come in. The voice so soft, it tugged at his heartstrings and he had to force himself to remain calm, they didnβt deserve to be at the end of his lash-out. Clearly.Β
βThe delivery man finally dropped off everyoneβs orders, I was told to give you yours.β, he places his brush down, taking a deep breath and turning to you.Β
And then it clicked.Β
He could hear a brief thump, as you put the food down on his desk, and then . . the both of you made eye contact and it all became oh so clear.
Idia Shroud β [ old version ]
The red string of fate, a string so thin that binds you to another. You'll know when you see it, when they're near; Solidifying the both of yours union upon fate, the two of you paired together pre-determined by the Universe and The Great Seven above.Β
A concept everyone in Twisted Wonderland believes in despite it being so rare to come true. The red string of fate, a concept so rare but never impossible . .Β And a Luxury Mr. Shroud couldn't afford. At the very least, he didn't personally think so.Β Β
Idia Shroud, too stuck knee-deep in his own self-pityfest and/or his weirdly deep hellscape of self righteousness, never had the time to consider the concept of soulmates. Thought the idea of a pre-determined pair, a system set from birth for someone so technical . . it would definitely sound like a concept heβd take himself with but he never really cared for it.Β Β
He thought about it, briefly. Rarely on certain days, what it would be like, sharing his interests with a pre-determined perfect match. However, he'd always stopped himself, it didn't go over well. It wouldnβt go over well in the long run, he didnβt consider himself fit for the nuances of a relationship, so unpredictable, he was fairly content with just himself in his own space. He didnβt need someone invading it. He had a routine he followed and he preferred to keep it that way.
And in all honesty, he didnβt need someone there . . And itβs not like itβs easy to find your soulmate there's a 18% statistical chance youβd ever meet them . . Or so he thought . . Until he met you, a part-time employee at his local gamestore.Β
It was solely by coincidence he met you. A bunch of technicalities, things going wrong, that led to him forced to go to the store and pick up his order. Honestly, he wouldβve sent someone else, maybe even paid someone to do it but it was just not his lucky day.Β
He was really absent-minded that day as well and thatβs when he saw it, as he approached the counter, asked about his order . . He reached in his pocket to grab his phone, only to notice that stupid red string tightening, appearing out of fucking nowhere. And then . .Β It clicked.Β
Whether he liked it or not.
authors note.
I've tried maintaining some of the core plotlines I had for each of these writings. That being said, most of these works were written when I was fourteen. I am now eighteen and a English major, so a lot of shifts were taken.
Also hi, it's been a while since I've been on the writing end in this fandom, I've yet to watch the anime due to finals coming up but we are so back.
Wrote this on a all-nighter while finishing due assignments . . needed something to force out the writers block from my system.
All the budget went to Jamil since I wrote him first . . and I'm starting to really like his character . . Also I wrote multiple assignments mid-writing this. This was a pick me up writing piece.
Though currently in-active, consider joining my server where I'm going to resume discussing my fics about.
edit: I wrote this awhile ago during my finals, so back in November. As I resume posting, I'll be finishing off some of these drafts.
hello, lovely ^^ may i ask about your typical turnaround for comms? i found your page on ko-fi, and was a bit interested! π
It takes me usually less than a week to a week and a half depending on the size of the commission + how many commissions are there pending, this past week however all projects were put on hold as I had mid terms, I'm picking everything up starting Monday including mailing out finished physical projects. Thank you for asking <3

a/n: read the note at the bottom for further context.
implied that all of these have established relationships beforehand.
silver did in fact fall asleep mid typing, he hit send when he shifted his head & jamil had to move the date down to later onto the day since he was busy with work and kalim for most of it.
I really tried with riddle's poem, but I also hate writing poems, so . .
you can now commission personalized emails, they're much longer then this, (500-600+ words) here.
