i've had several retail and food service jobs and they were all so much harder than whatever i'm doing in this office right now. it honestly feels like cheating. service industry workers should be paid $100 per hour with full benefits including the right to kill one customer per year
"ingredients you can pronounce!!!" actually i'm great at phonics and i love eating chemicals
Me entering any museum: man I’m so excited to learn all the things
Also me: GIFT SHOP GIFT SHOP GIFT SHOP
There are two dragons inside of you. One hoards knowledge and the other hoards trinkets. They’re both very excited when you bring them to a museum
“If I’m gonna be sexy on the VMAs and sing about the paparazzi, I’m gonna do it while I’m bleeding to death and reminding you of what fame did to Marilyn Monroe, And what it did to Anna Nicole Smith. And what it did to…yeah. Do you know who?” -Lady Gaga( the do you know who was about Amy Winehouse)
No thoughts, just Lady Gaga at the 2009 VMAs
i Love vaccines, autism, abortions, homosexuals, sex changes and crime
if i don’t make silly noises every day i will die
THEY FUCKIGNFOUND THE ENDURANCE HOULY SHIT
@yugoooooooo the endurance was the ship used by ernest shackleton to sail to antartica!
that mission failed pretty badly though because the ship got stuck in the iced-over water of the weddel sea just over 100 years ago, leaving the crew stranded. though this does also make shackeltons mission one of the best human survival stories because all of the 28 crew members made it back alive despite the overwhelming odds! but yea the ship was lost
HOWEVER!!! endurance22 (one of the many missions to locate the wreckage of the ship) found it!!
and theres been like heaps of money and time put into finding the ship so its really cool that theyve finally located it!
its also in a very impressive state! this is 100 years since its been sunk!
like the titanic is barley there and covered in rusticles from bacteria that are slowly eating away at the hull but this ship is just so well preserved!!
22 YEARS AGO ON DECEMBER 18, 1998 - DREAMWORKS ANIMATION RELEASED “THE PRINCE OF EGYPT”
Because DreamWorks was concerned about theological accuracy, they decided to call in Biblical scholars, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim theologians, and Arab American leaders to help the film be more accurate and faithful to the original story. After previewing the developing film, all these leaders noted that the studio executives listened and responded to their ideas, and praised the studio for reaching out for comment from outside sources.
The animation team for The Prince of Egypt included 350 artists from 34 different nations. Careful consideration was given to depicting the ethnicities of the ancient Egyptians, Hebrews, and Nubians properly.
Both character design and art direction worked to set a definite distinction between the symmetrical, more angular look of the Egyptians versus the more organic, natural look of the Hebrews and their related environments. The backgrounds department, headed by supervisors Paul Lasaine and Ron Lukas, oversaw a team of artists who were responsible for painting the sets/backdrops from the layouts. Within the film, approximately 934 hand-painted backgrounds were created.

I literally need to go to a museum and look at the how thick the layers of paint are for an hour. I need to look at brushstrokes
Views from abandoned houses - Brendon Burton
no offence but is this seriously what we're doing for the rest of our lives. like. just work minimum wage and drink soy lattes? be a 4.75/10? I half-heartedly thrift for my clothes and watch the world collapse around me in a very boring and predictable way? sure I can go hike the fucking pacific crest trail and I romanticise my bus ride and listen to hozier or whatever the tiktok girlies say these days. but this can't be it.
most of the time everything sucks but when the sky is blanketed in dark blue-grey clouds after heavy raining and the sun starts to peek through the clouds so that the tops of trees glint pale green and every white structure is starkly, blindingly silhouetted against the sky i’m ok.
