oh it'd be so fucked but i honestly don't think people would overwhelmingly hate m!misa - like first his writing would be different anyway (because of ohba's misogyny yes but also some plot points genuinely don't work with genderbent dn e.g. i doubt light would consider seeing multiple guys at once a viable plan to deter suspicion) but second i strongly believe the death note tag would be flooded with yandere misa amane x reader to the point of unnavigability. which i respect
