I wanted to do some work on that one commission I've postponed forever, but ... it just wouldn't work. Being pretty pissed off at myself and other things, I doodled Odium brutally murdering Sizzle instead because SCREW EVERYTHING. Ahh, I just love these two. They're always so good at cheering me up.
Super quick painting of Hollowtol (click it to see it larger), may or may not finish it.
Standing up there is a very stupid thing to do when it's all rainy and slippery (and windy too) but hey, at least you look badass!
A something of Lurana Phee, a character from my Hollowtol story (the one with Dez and Bunnyrat if you know those two). Her design has been fucking troublesome but I like this one, it might be what I'll settle with. And yeah she looks incredibly BITCH I'M FABULOUS here sorry idk what happened.
YES I'm actually posting something on my tumblr, it's amazing I know.
Some super quick doodles of the carnivorous birds that live in Hollowtol. Nasty little beasts. They will eat anything that has died, so if you spot a flock of them gathered somewhere you know someone died recently. They mostly leave people alone, unless you're bleeding and they scent your blood. Then they'll follow you, waiting for you to die, and maybe even attack you. In other words, it's very dangerous to be outside if you're wounded.
Remake doodle of my centaur character, Etherli. Named by a person on deviantderp, I believe. I have no idea how he reaches that bag on his ass ... maybe he doesn't, since he's everyone's pack mule anyway.
May refine it some wonderful day when I have time.
This is how I picture the "dragons" in my Hollowtol story (the story with Dez, Bunnyrat etc). They're more like overgrown lizards than dragons, as they have no flight or fire breathing abilities. They are predators, very fast sprinters, and vary greatly in size and colour. Luckily they stay away from cities. They exist, but take very little part in the actual story.

Something I'm doing for fun - Dez in his current form compared to what he looked like the first time I drew him. Both drawn in 2013 because there is no way in hell I'm showing my old shit. It's strange how he has changed so little and yet so much. HE WAS SO UGLY HAHA.
Samepose syndrome so the difference and such is easier to see.
Wow I was browsing my art folder and found this. I had completely forgotten I ever made it.
I would really like to finish it, but I don't know if I can.
Even on my goddamn SKETCH BLOG I refrain from posting too sketchy stuff (stupid perfectionist self) So have something that's actually still very sketchy, for once.
Dez is one of those characters that is always a fucking blast to draw. This might become my new ID on deviantderp later. Don't know whether to keep the blood or not. Bla bla does anyone actually read my blabbering here??
There is no bust of Pallas or chamber door, but this is sort of a little tribute to Poe and his 'The Raven', which most likely my favourite poem of all time.
I like how this started, but I'm probably not going to finish it, since I was stupid and thought I could paint it all on the same layer.
4 U RAEV
So I drew a monster and named it Hunger.
Since people often ask “Alright, well this is fantasy! Why can’t we have boob shapes in plate armor?!” I decided to make a post about it. My frustration has nothing to do with historical inaccuracy and I’m all for imagination and freedom— but I’d like to (very quickly) illustrate this for you:
I purposely over-emphasized the shape of the two spheres in the armor so you can really think about this.
Look at the shape of the blue cups and the green line, think about the form of that on some beautiful ornate plate armor. A female warrior is charging into battle. In the midst of this, she trips! Or is pushed over, or takes a blow to the chest! So long as the force is on the front of her torso it really doesn’t matter for the conclusion:
She feels a sharp pain in her chest and hears the cracking of bone! Oh no, what’s gone wrong? Well she doesn’t have time to think about that, because she is now dead.
Her sternum just fractured, take another look at that green line, that’s where all of the pressure from any front impact is going to go because of the shape of the two blue cups made for her breasts. The rest of the armor slides around your body, but because of the two cups for breasts that are often made in fantasy female armors, the pressure point is directly on the sternum. The breasts are not going to stop the force of you falling onto them, and because of that the metal is going to push in and bash you in the sternum.
What does a fractured sternum do? Why it goes right into your heart and lungs of course.
(that was the sound of all of my followers inhaling a sharp breath between closed teeth at once)
Here are three great solutions to the problem:
GREAT EXAMPLE OF FANTASY TORSO ARMOR THAT IS FEMININE BUT FUNCTIONAL:
It is usually possible to bind the breasts when fighting if they really are far too large to fit into regular looking armor (there’s padding anyway), but most women can actually fit into a similarly sized male counterpart’s armor quite easily. Even if that’s the case, the armor can be made to have a curve to it without putting all of the pressure in one area, which was actually a style of armor for quite some time as shown here:
And don’t even get me started on the dreaded “Cleavage Window”
The “Cleavage Window” defeats the purpose of having any armor on your torso because it means you’re just going to be leaving open the vital organs the rest of the armor is trying to protect.
If people are going to protect themselves and not have much torso protection, invest in some blocking lessons, because the best defense is to not get hit at all. There are also advantages to not having plate armor, and plate armor was often really expensive anyway.
— Edit —
supaslim replied to your post: “Why do you hate the shape of breasts in plate armor so much?”
I’d also like to add that boob bulges direct blows straight to the sternum as well, rather than making them glance to either side. Good post.
Okay I promised myself I wouldn't reblog anything on my blog but I think everyone (especially those who like to design armour) should read this.
It's getting more and more popular with "realistic" armour for females that doesn't put their chest and ass on display, but have you ever thought about these so called "boob plates"? Well they piss me off. Yeah, you can go design your practical female armour, but remember that if you put those god damn boob plates on it you will completely ruin the whole thing.
So go ahead and read this thing like a good monkey and learn something new today.
Nathanael Hunter's horse, Pathos.
I feel like I should point out that Pathos is not magical or bonded to Crow or anything. He is nothing more than a normal horse.
Will I ever just settle with a design for this guy?
Nope.
Too fucking much Assassin's Creed.
