As much as I love Verosika, I think she was written too obsessed with Blitz. Like her past few exchanges with him were barbed, but it definitely came across as "we crossed paths, im gonna be a petty bitch cause fuck him. But my life doesn't revolve around him." Yet, in Apology tour...she's up to date on all his exes and casual flings??? Girl, you're a whole celebrity and this is the guy your still hung up on that you do yearly parties?? Blitz probably traumatized her and I feel that, but the whole blitz sucks party feels like that typical Vivziepop sexism of having a female character obsessed with a man. I feel like if Viv was never called out on her sexism with Millie, she wouldn't have written Verosika as having a point to her party beyond "hating blitz, crazy ex-girlfriend, borderline Stella-edition."

Verosika has never talked about anything or anyone else, and we never get a scene of their relationship in the past or her feelings. It’s over before it began, which is really sad.

Thinking about it, I don't think we will see Verosika for a while, or maybe ever. She already "fulfilled" her role, "forgiving" Blitz, being used as a tool to justify Stolas and basically just being an accessory to boost the narrative of that awful relationship.

She will be tossed to the irrelevant category; I was keeping with HB for her. I was eagerly waiting for the second half of season two for her, and now that her episode dropped, "her" episode was centered around Stolas, how hurt he is, how Blitz is a POS for hurting birb, while her conflict, her resentment and bitterness was resolved in less than five minutes.

Like I know I'm not the only was who missed her A LOT. I think many were waiting for her return. And now? Now that everything is "good" with her, I don't think Viv will have any interest in developing her further if it hasn't relation with her toxic, forced and fetishized gay relationship between the fucking owl and Blitz.

I hope I'm wrong, but this seems like a possibility more than just a guess. I mean, Octavia is only used as a narrative device to keep justifying her horrible father, making him seem like a poor, tortured soul who is doing his best, despite clearly forgetting about her for his gay lust.

Verosika not only deserved better, she deserves a better show and better writing. AND HER SONGS DESERVE TO BE FULLY RELEASED INSTEAD OF BEING SHORT FRAGMENTS IN THE SHOW.

As much as I love Verosika and love that her pain was validated- the whole "all of Blitz's exs get together to cope over him hurting them" it's a bit....too cartoony to my liking. Like don't get me wrong- I think the idea in insolation is kinda funny. It has some really visual gags- particularly that one frame of those demons burning an PNG of an irl plushie on a steak lmao but it goes south when it starts to take itself seriously, tbh.

Obviously, Vero is more than heartbroken- she seems to be traumatized by the experience. "Vulnerable for once" this goes more onto headcanon territory but considering how she is a famous pop star, I always assumed she fell for Blitz cause he was real with her- they could just be themselves- granted we would need more context, but based on her rant I can truly feel how hurt she was-

I know the party was just an excuse for Blitz to start working on himself at once- but I feel it could have been easier if he just witnessed a wasted Verosika at her breaking point rather than a bunch of nameless randos crying at a yearly party. Cue the flashbacks to Barbie and Fizz and ta-dah! You get his development kick-started! But then the focus would be solely on Verosika instead of the sad Owl Boy and we can't have that, do we?

I am all for solidarity for those who went through similar experiences/were hurt by the same people but guys.... save the emotional group therapy panshot for the Vees's employees or Stolas's staff and let Verosica vent and move on in peace.

It made her look really creepy and really obsessed. She should have hit him with her car and demand he pay back all the money. Then actually get an identity and get some hobbies.

And the narrative point Medrano is saying is that casual sex without feelings makes you a bad person, being promiscuous means you can’t complain when someone sexually abuses you cause it’s your fault. And you have so much of it, you probably secretly like it anyway but have commitment and accountability problems. She also hates polyamorous relationships so it makes sense she hates him for wanting that too. Verosika is only here for stolitz fuel.

Rewrite: Meeting Verosika at a normal Halloween party, and maybe she’s beating a Blitzø piñata with her friends, but there a bunch of other girls beating piñata of their own exes too. You could have kept the exes theme, have it be a party dedicated to that. And Blitzø realising he has a very large amount of them. That’s how you fix the problem. Verosika makes a party annually for anybody who has an ex lover who hurt them, not Blitzø specifically. I’d add the joke in that Blitzø thinks it’s an “anti Blitzø party” and Verosika laughs saying “get over yourself its not just about you” That’s a better story. And to make things better I’d have Verosika show some of her other exes are there but she’s on good terms with them, unlike Blitzø. To really hammer home that not all relationships end on horrendous terms.

Okay. So the new ep. I was so mad about this line from Stolas I can't lie: "I didn't realize you think so low of me"

Oh really? What reasons have you given him to think highly of you Stolas? You:

A) Gave Blitz a choice between his career or having sex with you (Blitz's career also supports his daughter and the other IMP employees, their well being was on the line too). And to boot, this proposition took place while Blitz was in a high pressure scenario being hunted down by a crazy serial murderer human trying to kill him. Which Stolas was aware of and watching. He chose that moment to make his proposition and laud the grimoire over Blitz's head.

B) Constantly make weird fetishy remarks about Blitz's species/race, calling him an impish little plaything and "itty bitty". Also while being weird towards other imps too, using your butler as a stress toy and calling Moxxie, Millie and other random imps "little ones" all the time.

C) After the power imbalance of controlling his business was set up by you, you proceeded to constantly toy with Blitz despite how much he resisted and showed he clearly doesn't like it. You give him an annoying demeaning pet name he didn't ask for with the "Blitzie" shit. You make crude sexual remarks that make him uncomfortable and make them in front of others too, humiliating him in front of both strangers and people he is close to. You grab at his face condescendingly. You idly use him as an ash tray. You treat him with a completely disrespectful degrading demeanor and there is nothing he can do or say about it that will make you stop - in Loo Loo land when Blitz expresses that he does not want you to attempt to solicit sex that day from him you respond "You are so cute when you are serious" like its funny hes mad about that. All of this unwanted sexual attention is to the point Blitz has a panic button for when YOU specifically show up at his office like what else is there to say really.

D) You also treat your daughter like shit. You chase Blitz instead of focusing on her even though shes clearly very mentally ill and struggling. You make weird sexual remarks about Blitz, the guy who you're cheating on your wife with which is causing chaotic familial breakdown in the home Octavia has to live in (and Octavia KNOWS its Blitz specifically that you're cheating with she is very aware). She is clearly constantly uncomfortable and yet you put her through that several times Stolas.

Then you try to do the right thing and free Blitz. Good, great, a step in the right direction. But when hes so unused to you respecting him and thinks you must be lying you have a whiny little breakdown and storm off about it.

BUT NO WONDER BLITZ THOUGHT IT WAS SOME KIND OF FUCKING JOKE AND THEN WAS LIKE WTF YOU STUPID FUCK. Look at everything you've done holy shit! I felt Blitz's "What the fuck" in my soul. What is with this shows attempts since S2 at a weird perversion of the truth. What is with this pathetic poor me I'm just a poor widdle victim! Act from Stolas. Its just so gross its disgusting.

Stolas was born with his wealth. He was born with immense wealth, connections, authority, and physical power. He never has had to comprehend making the kinds of choices Blitz has had to in order to make rent. And Stolas actively exploited Blitz's class. He actively exploited it along with Blitz's obligations to his employees and daughter, those he loves, to get sex out of him. And then when Blitz sees him for what he is he is a self victimizing baby over it. How slimy can you get?

Don't get me wrong, I loved many things about apology tour (mainly Verosika) but I was hoping this to be the break from the drama of Stolitz instead of a continuation of it. And thought I loved Verosika and her final interactions with Blitz... it felt a little... I dunno.. not logical? (not her interactions, but most of the episode)

Stolas and Blitz relationship is a whole can of worms on its own, but I'm on the team that Stolas was forcing Blitz, like I mean in the pilot of HB it showed how uncomfortable Blitz was with him, and in the very first episode how he was forced to it since he was in a very dire situation (and Stolas knew about it, since he is seeing it developing in real time throught his bubbles)... (and I mean, the pilot face says it all)

But back on track...

So my questions, how Verosika knew about their break up? All of it happened between Stolas home, not even in public, and I don't think Stolas posted it on social media... also Why is she treating him so nicely and touchy? I mean on Ozzies, the bouncer showed reverence when he saw Stolas and let him in alongside Blitz.

I could see her treating him with more respect, or asking him if its alright to hug him or something because of his royal status, or at least refer to him as "your highness" (and in Stolas fashion he would be like "Oh don't need to be so formal but eh... anyway). Sure, they are in a more casual and comfortable environment, but even then, there are some manners expected when approaching a royal. If you are going to disregard his status, then why have a ladder with the different races and their social hierarchy? I get it was to show how sweet Verosika was really, but there could be a ton of approaches to this (and it wasn't hard to tell, since she was only mean to Blitz and has been speculated since her first appearance she is really nice and lovely once you get to know her).

And talking about approaches, this episode could be PERFECT to explore more about Blitz and Verosika. Yes, they talked at the end and we get to hear that the shitshow Blitz pulled on Verosika was after she told him she loved him (and she admitted she was embarrassed since it was the first time she felt that way). Put Stolas on the sidelines for a little while, and focus on these two. Maybe not a hearfelt talk for the whole episode, but making Blitz realize that before he could apologize to Stolas, he needed to work on himself first and foremost(because his apology to him was very forced as well). I think their talk came too quickly, and even then, why talk? Why Blitz would ask Stolas for forgiveness? In his eyes on Full Moon, Stolas was using him and he ended their contract, so he snapped (rightfully so, he first forced him and now is tossing him aside).

Or hell, make it about Blitzo and his past relationships including her, how he fucked up every single one of them, knowing about more about how he meet them, how he fucked up in every single one of them, make him feel remorse since the beginning, not to just feel remorse at the end just because he couldn't get the uwu bird back. (In one episode of "The mentalist" TLDR: Doc Dungan, a football star, is told to the media to be dead when in fact he is alive. He gets to watch what people really think of him, including his ex wife, and gradually this was the wake up call he needed to stop being a self-centered asshole, more things of the episode of course, but i liked this take, now that Blitz was in a somewhat similar situation of him not being dead but having the opportunity to see and hear his exs opinions, honest opinions, about him, not just the hate part).

And... putting all this behind, WTF with Verosika's psycho break with the cake? Her voice completly changed and it feel... odd. Sure, she is not fan of Blitz, and everytime he showed up, she showed the contempt and the bitterness towards him. So this change of personality of hers stabbing the cake with so much malicious intent felt really odd coming from her. Like, following HB logic (ugh, and there isn't much), this outburst is more like how Stella would react to a Stolas cake, seeing her cartoonish hate towards him and how she treats him. Verosika never had that type of "hate" towards Blitzo. In Spring Broken aside from the fight on the parking lot, she was ignoring him, until he came to challenge her. And in Ozzies was a coincidence both of them were there at the same time, and she took the opportunity when it presented to diss on him.

So her acting like a maniac vengeful ex who wants him dead seems a non logical change (and if she wanted him dead, like the scene implied, she has the resources to ask for a hitman). I get the cake was there as pettiness symbol. But still pettiness is different from hate. And then revert that change that on was during 2/4 of the episode (the manical laughter also set me off).

At the end it was showed that she still cares for him in a way (showed in the lasts bits of the episode)... so? I would also expect that kind of murderous rage from people with absolute hate and bitterness (again, like how they are depicting Stella, damn, Stella acted the same way when discussing Stolas death if I recall and in other situations when Stolas was almost hurt).

I don't think she was acting to make him feel welcome (because Stolas looked uncomfortable when she started to act that way, and I get many exes would have those feelings towards him, but... ) and she definitely wasn't drunk, even if she have been drinking since the start of the party, it think at this point, she has a very high tolerance, so she would need a lot more to get drunk.

So yea, I loved Verosika and her return, but I expected an episode centered around her (like spring broken was) instead of shifting the focus again to stolas and blitz, who have been the main focus since the beginning of season 2. If Verosika knew about the whole shit Stolas pulled, I don't think she would have invited him to the party, since the exes part means a consesual relationship, something that Blitz and Stolas thing wasn't. Hell, I think if she could, she would have called him out (again, yes, she hates Blitz, but she still cares, I don't think she would have liked to know how his ex was raped repeatedly) since now its shown that his royal status is bleh.

So yeah, the episode felt like a excuse to comfort Stolas, still make Blitz the bad guy, give Stolas the thumbs up and comfort while Blitz rots in self hate. Verosika being the tool to comfort the poor uwu bird.

Uf, this was a long rant, and even if you don't agree, that's fine. I'm just a guy who loves Verosika Mayday... but is already tired of the writing that pushes this couple at the center of all of it.
