The Prince and the Pauper
Mycroft waited until the door was shut to show Gregory the cat in his arms. She was an older cat, grey in color with large green eyes. “This is Ophelia,” he said. “She was my mother’s cat. I’m trying to buy this flat so that she won’t be illegal anymore, but until I can get them to accept a purchase from a 19 year old with no renter’s history, this is the only place I can keep her.”
Ophelia started to purr and knead the air next to Mycroft’s arms.

“Oh, she’s gorgeous.” He grinned. “Hello, girl.” He held out his hand for her to sniff before scratching behind her ears gently. “You’re trying to buy the flat?” he asked, raising his eyebrows. “What for?”
