It's canon that Molly is the one person other than Mary who can see through Sherlock's bullshit. This can be applied to the ily scene in that she knew the first time was forced, and that he meant it the second time.

I'm still in the camp that Molly has known since TEH that Sherlock feels something at least a little bit beyond platonic for her.

The way Sherlock has a lucid hallucination of the 19th century in which Molly is there as a competent pathologist disguised as a man, but the John that Sherlock's subconscious conjured (to look for the things he might miss) is able to see her as a woman...

Then the Mycroft in his mind says something like "sometimes we have to let the villains win because they are right"

Remember every role in this scenario, every line written, is conjured by Sherlock FOR Sherlock.

And there she is again... at last revealed to be a woman... its Molly Hooper who is swapping dead bodies and helping other scorned women commit crimes... it's Molly Hooper being clever and strongwilled. And It's Molly Hooper who is the "villain" that Sherlock concedes has been wronged by him.

And then following that experience, there is Molly Hooper again threatening to undo the very foundation of Sherlock Holmes in the finale when he is trying to save her. And Eurus declares he DID lose... so in a way that makes Molly the villain from his subconscious... the one who makes him lose.

Not even "The Woman" could really do that... Sure, she can distract him--throw him off guard for a bit, but when Irene Adler plays her games, it's a battle of wills. Not a partnership or a friendship... and so ultimately he tells her that sentiment is the chemical defect of a loser. And he beats her game. Even when he saves her, he's not beat.

But he loses the battle entirely when Eurus phones Molly. And all Molly did was ask Sherlock if he was ok, slap him in the face when he deserved it, and save his life, and help him fake his death... of course it had to be true when he said those words to Molly...

Molly is the villain of the show. And she was right.

It was pure joy..

And it's the kind of happiness deep within his soul..that no amount of thrill from crime solving Can give..

To be loved.. this much.. this way.. the romantic way..

Everyone wants this love.. even the practical machine Sherlock Holmes..♥️

WE see the expression of joy fading slightly on his face After that.. because he remembers how much pain it was causing her.. to be in love with him of all people..

" You Say it " molly

There was Terror on his face when she forced him to Say it ..

"Of course you Can why can't you ? " 😏 Sherlock..

He Saïd that a minute ago.. so why was it so difficult for him to Say it? They are just 3 simple words right Sherlock ? 😔

That second i love you.. 😭 it came from the same place that gave him joy when he heard her Say That her love was true..

The way she was holding her phone close to her ear and mouth Trying to savor the moment..😭

The expression of pain on her face when she kept telling herself :" it's not true.. it's not true.."

Still.. she wanted to hear him Say it.. for once in her life..

For once in his life..

because this may Never happen again.. even for him.. sherlock may Never want to be in a relationship.. he Never Saïd those words to Anyone and will probebly Never Say them..

And molly.. After years of Trying , she was almost convinced that she would Never find love again..that she would Never get over him..💔

"All those complicated emotions i Lost count " Indeed eurus ..😭 damn you !

"You didn't win you Lost.."

Seeing Sherlock destroy the coffin was just as traumatizing as the phone conversation..

He couldn't handle that this woman purely and truly loved him.. and all he ever gave her was pain.. that she is an Amazing young woman who deserves a great life.. a life she can't have because of this curse..the curse of loving him of all people..

Molly is the woman who made Sherlock wish he wasn't a sociopath.. that he didn't have emotional attachement issues.. because he loved her and wanted to Make her happy ♥️
